I'm an adult man 5"11, 180 lbs. A little wobbly getting up, but feels safe once I'm up there. Great for saving space. I stuck a couch underneath and space wise this was a great decision. Only complaint is the ladder is a little rough on the feet.
I put this together myself in about an hour. It's very sturdy. My daughter has a small room and with this bed there is now another area for her to play in that was taken up by a bed. She loves it. The cat loves it as it's high out of the reach of my other kids.

Nice frame
Nice and solid. Take a bit time to assembly, but not hard if you are used to IKEA furniture.
