Very sturdy for the price. I didn't have the funds to buy a wooden bunk bed set so I purchased this to go over top of my daughters full size bed. She's super happy with it and likes to sleep up there when she has friends spend the night. Purchased with a memory foam mattress and it comfortable. Fixed the ladder issue with a pool noodle.
Great bed for the money, my daughter loves it. Able to fit a small dresser underneath and still have space for a fun hideout. Only down is the stairs are painful for me, but they don't bother her.
Has held up 5 months so far and is still sturdy. My 6-year-old loves it. Was missing one pack of hardware when it came, called the number and they sent out a replacement within a few days. Assembly took about an hour by myself, but I was going slow as to not make mistakes. Instructions were good.
My 8 year old loves it. Pretty sturdy. The ladder is uncomfortable to climb but my son does not seem to care. I wish there was an opening in the top guard rail by the ladder to make it easier to get on/off the ladder to the bed instead of climbing over the guard rail. It was a good value overall though.
Bought this since it had a high approval rating and wasn't too expensive. Very pleased! Bottom mattress is 9" with a 1-2" pillow top/plush top, and I can sit on the bottom bunk and read to the kids without bumping my head or it being too dark. Ladder rungs hurt my feet if I climb them barefoot, but the kids don't seem to mind, and I'll get used to it. I put a pool noodle on the ladder rungs to see if that would help spread out the load on my feet - that didn't do much. Very sturdy, easy to put together, bed doesn't come up off the floor when climbing the ladder. Just make sure you pay attention to where you're putting the openings to mount the ladder, as other reviewers have said. Black version with black hardware is very good looking. The side rails on top didn't seem like they'd fit, because the holes didn't quite match up, but after getting all the screws in and tightening them all slowly in turn, everything ended up together well and tightened up nicely. No problems with shaking, nice and sturdy. Love the 250 lb weight limit per bed.
This frame is great so far. It wasn't too bad to put together either, it took me about an hour. My daughter using this bed has mentioned that the latter steps are not comfortable to climb up with bare feet. We have had it about a month and other than that, it is sturdy and we have been very happy with the purchase.
