Our mattress is 12 inches thick, and it comes JUST to the bottom of the headboard. If were sitting up against it, the matress sinks lower and then the gap is even bigger. We tried it out with both our 6/inch box spring AND the mattress on the bed to get rid of the slight gap, but even the few extra inches made it waaaay too high and I would have needed a step to climb into bed. Ha!
If your mattress is maybe 14 or thicker, I recommend this bed. If its smaller, be aware of a little gap. It hasnt been a real problem while we sleep though (no pillows falling down) but is a little annoying. Haha. (First world problems.)
There is a new furniture smell. Pretty normal, but maybe open up the box and let it sit outside in a bug/free area for a week if youre concerned about that.
Also, when we first opened it, I was super concerned they sent us the wrong bed, because the instruction manual was for a bed with drawers! Even though the drawer bed was more expensive, I really did not want a drawer bed! After opening it up though, we did get the bed we ordered, and were still able to assemble it using the provided instruction manual.
4 stars because I would like the headboard to reach a little lower for my 12 mattress, and also because the black stitching in the diamond pattern is pretty noticable. Still fully recommend, thanks to its price (we paid about 225 at the time, I know prices fluctuate on ). It is a sturdy, attractive bed! Even at 4 stars, I would buy this bed again. Worth it! She loves it.
It was pretty easy assemble the only complicated part was my fault cause I had a part upside down other than that super easy looks aming and it arrived before eta Love it.
I got this and was afraid my adjustable base wouldnt fit in it, but after reading reviews it said to remove wooden rail along the side and not use wooden slats. I was skeptical, but when they delivered my base and bed it fit perfect. I got a king size, with king size adjustable base, then put a purple 3 on top. Love the setup I have and it was easy to assemble.Good.
This bed is just what I was looking for and the price couldnt be better. It shipped a week faster than estimated delivery. It comes in 2 boxes. I got one on Thursday and the other on Friday. It took my husband and I about an hour to put it together. It is constructed well and very sturdy. I was hesitant to buy a bed online but I was not disappointed. The head board is big and makes a statement for the room. The base and frame are sturdy. My husband was impressed with the metal frame and that it didnt budge once every thing was screwed together. I loved it.
This bed is gorgeous!!! for the price is a steal! It took me a bit to put it together because Im a night shift nurse and I put it together after I went to sleep for the day! Very easy to put together!! Overall my daughter is very happy with it!! My Nephew likes it,
The big thing I was worried about: this bed looks more expensive than what I paid for it. I bought it to replace a piece of junk from a major national furniture retailer that I paid over 500 for 5 years ago and this 200/ish bed from is better than that bed! Its held up to me on it nightly, but Im only 150 lbs. Its survived my 320 lb. ex/boyfriend twice with nothing broken. Just saying. I Was worried about those studs on the sides making it look cheap, but they actually dont (and Im picky about my stuff). On the flip side, Im a single gal in my 40s with nobody to help me and the packages are heavy, so if you have that issue, buck up and get creative. I actually like assembling furniture, so I wasnt too concerned about that aspect of things, but it did take me the better part of 3 hours to assemble alone because of the number of screws and pieces. All good. You dont need it, but if you dont have a drill or a power screwdriver, it will take you longer. If youre looking for a bed at an affordable price that doesnt look like junk, this works! Im a prissy divorcee who likes expensive stuff and a good knock off is key in my nowadays! If youre afraid of heavy boxes and assembling furniture all alone, go shop someplace that charges an arm and a leg for delivery and assembly. Or pay one of those /associated peeps to help, whatev, just dont come on here complaining when it doesnt work out fort you because it showed up in 2 big ol heavy boxes and you expected the bed to show up in your bedroom fully assembled by some magic elves when you got back from your nail appointment. Cheers! My son loves it!

Looks great but it needs to be a little taller
