    GREAT bed frame!

Yes this is very straight forward instructions on how to put together. Pictures are very helpful and easy to determine which parts you are using. Just remember though it is a 6 drawer bed. Took my wife and I about 3 hrs to do with mostly me doing the work and her have the tools handy. As a finished product it is fabulous. We up graded from a generic metal frame. The new drawers are HUGE. Currently storing extra sheet sets in two. That's 2 sets of Queens size sheets in each drawer.

    Decent

Yes, assembly takes a while. It’s a big bed with 12 drawers! Yes, it sits high. It’s 2 drawers high. What do you expect? Yes, it was a little scratched, but due to shipping and it being pressboard, that was expected. We’ll see how it holds up!

    A ton of parts!

Yes, there is a ton of screws, bolts, etc in this pack...but instructions were fairly easy to follow. In fact, I put it together with one pink Phillips head screwdriver and the enclosed Allen wrench. Yes it took a while-probably should have used a drill with screwdriver attachment. Being a 64 year old woman with arthritis in my hands I figure anybody who can read instructions could do it if I could. I'm not fond of the pressed wood supports but the bed did seem sturdy once I put it together. Didn't have any problems with the drawers- all fit in perfectly and smoothly. I like the metal rails but wish the bottoms were more solid on the drawers. This bed frame doesn't have a way to attach headboard either. I was worried about the slats after reading some of the other comments - but on this one it fits in a metal rail-has spaces for them so they can't shift and when you finally get them all in at once on the foot of the bed rail they was no way they could come out. My husband and I weigh together about 260 pounds so I wasn't too worried about our weight on the slats. I can't attest to its longevity yet since we've only begun using it but so far so good. I like that the bottom has the storage and the head and foot rails prevent my cats from going under the bed - that was why we got this one - one kept going under the bed and throwing up and I was tired of crawling under the bed to clean it up. The drawers actually held more than I expected too.

    Worth the effort

Yes, this kit is not for the faint of heart, but it was worth the effort. I did use wood glue on basically every join, but it is very sturdy. The directions are not perfect, but they are not too difficult to think through. Most things will only fit correctly in one way. The drawers were surprisingly easy. By the time I finished, I was outing them together in 6 minutes a piece.

    Just what I needed.

You can't beat the storage space in these 6 drawers. And the mattress fits perfect. I like it because I don't need a ladder to get into bed.

    Great if you need storage!

You can't expect furniture-store beds from a box, no it's not real wood. We were replacing a broken IKEA bed very similar but without drawers and it is just as good quality. We are in a small apartment and needed storage space so this was a great way for us to create extra storage. (Also ordered the headboard). It's sturdy and had no problems with parts not fitting together or misaligned. You do have to make sure the bed is completely straight for the drawers to close flush against the bed (especially after scooting or moving the bed). So I'm happy and wasn't expecting some $1000+ bed from a box, I knew it would be cheaper materials, that's what you get when your bed comes in a box you build yourself. I recommend this bed especially if you are short on space.

    Beautiful bed, CHEAP quality.

You definitely get what you pay for in this case. I purchased this bed along with the corresponding headboard about a year ago. During assembly, one of the supports crumbled at the point of attachment, which should have been my first red flag. However, I assembled the bed and put it to use right away. This isn’t the bed for you if you want to move AT ALL on your bed. Each movement is creaky. The support boards are too short so they slide out of the brackets constantly, not to mention, the boards are bottom of the barrel quality (splinters galore.) Just tonight, another part of the bed completely broke. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this bed to anyone who wants more than 6 months of use out of it. Otherwise, it’s the perfect temporary bed.

    Pain to put together

You definitely need at least two people to put this together. Nice once it’s assembled though!

It's not the best bed frame in the world and was a little ...

You get what you pay for. It's not the best bed frame in the world and was a little time consuming to put together (I put 90% of it together with a screwdriver, not recommend. I quit on the draws and waited to get a little power drill from my dad to finish it). It wasn't really hard to put together but like I said a little drill would have made it maybe an hour and a half or so to put together. But not wanting to spend 100s and 100s of dollars and wanting a bed with a little bit of storage it works.

    Great piece

You get what you pay for. It is particle board which is fine. It is hard to get squared up so the drawers fit perfectly, but once assembled it is great. Very sturdy. If you get the headboard too just beware there will be a gap because they don't fit together perfectly.
