The Bed has a lot of scratch and crack. Also the I would recommend additional support(1/2 plywood) because the support is not comfortable. My daughter complaint she can feel the wood even with 6 spring mattress. Not super soft and comfy
I purchased the Graphite version of this bunk bed and wanted to share my experiences, good and bad.
The negatives:
First, Ive never purchased a product that has smelled this bad for so long. Perhaps other colors dont have this problem. I put this together three weeks ago, and my sons room still smells because of the bed. I wish it were warm enough to open the windows. Second, putting this together was no joy. I wouldnt say its complicated, but it takes time (a lot of time, for me with kids helping/distracting, it was the better part of a day), patience, and most definitely two people for various steps of the process. Nearly all the parts go together with an Allen wrench thats included. Thanks to that little guy, my index fingers and thumbs hurt for three days. Third, I purchased 5 memory foam mattresses for both bunks. After spending 10 minutes in the full bed reading with my kids, I could feel the slats through the mattress. For children I doubt its an issue. But as an adult, I could never sleep in this bed in its current condition. You must either purchase a different mattress, or purchase and install a solid base or additional different slats!!
The positives:
The bed is sturdy and well built. I dont have any concerns about my kids sleeping in this bunk bed. They have no issues getting in and out of the bed or with using the ladder. The bed looks great. The graphite is a nice color, and a welcome change if you are tired of furniture that is either white or espresso. For this price, I think the bunk bed is a great value!!
I liked the bed once put together but there are some flaws with it scratches took one picture as shown, one of the boards did not have a hole so I had to go buy a drill bit and do it myself other than that I mostly put it together by myself in 4 hours had to have help attaching the top bunk to bottom, wowo
Pros: Beautiful bed once assembled.
Cons: Very difficult to assemble due to misaligned holes and missing parts.and I had to order more wooden dowels because I ran out at the end while assembling the ladder. Wanted to love this product but it came with a lot of frustration!
Holding up well after a year of moderate use. Was missing some screws so I had to improvise. Only major issue that REALLY annoys me is trying to put the sheet on the bottom bunk. The ladder is so tight against the mattress on the bottom bunk that I have to yank the sheet into place.Emma
Overall, this is a decent quality, young childrens bed for the price point. There are some issues with quality control, primarily a result of lesser quality lumber, but not unexpected due to the cost. As shipped, the box requires two people to move around. Assembly is tedious, but only requires a second person to mount the upper bunk on the lower. A drill will greatly speed up assembly time.
The bed is constructed from a combination of pine for the finished pieces and plywood/laminate for the mattress slats. It appears that the pine has not been dried completely before milling and some the pieces may develop cracks over time as a result. Obviously, cracks can weaken the beds structural integrity depending on their severity and location. In the three months since purchase, I have noticed only a few small cracks in the spacers between the top bunk slats, nothing that has given me concerns about integrity or safety.
The bed requires full assembly, headers and footers are boxed as components, not completed pieces. Hardware consists of Allen bolts, cabinet nuts, wood screws and wooden dowels. Although easy to assemble with a Phillips screwdriver and the included Allen wrench, it is a tedious affair. The use of t/handled Allen wrenches, and a drill with both screw and hex bits, will reduce build time. I also recommend the use of wood glue during assembly of the headers and footers.
Assembly was straightforward, taking approximately three hours with the aforementioned tools and glue. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The only issues I encountered during assembly were difficult to remove labels identifying each of the wood parts, and plywood had separated on two of the bed slats requiring glue and clamps to repair. All of the pre/drilled holes and screw marks lined up. Mounting the top bunk frame proved to be a two/person task, but the remainder could be managed by one person.
The slats are spaced too far apart for the use of a futon/style mattress.
As shipped, this is not a bed for adult use. It may be possible for a single adult to sleep on the lower bunk, but this will require more sturdy slats and a foundation. Adults and older children should not use the top bunk at all. The guard rails are of a safe height, but like the ladder, limited to the pictured configuration.
The bed is finished with a low/gloss white paint. I saw no visible drips or runs during assembly. Well done, great delivery
The package arrived and was left in front of the house. No worry about anyone stealing it because it was VERY heavy. We unpackaged it outside and carried in piece by piece.
The instructions were easy and I was able to assemble it by myself. I would recommend a drill bit for the hex key because I did it all with the tools provided and ended up with a blister. My 10 year old twins helped lift the twin on top of the full.
We still need the mattresses but so far we love it. study and arrived as pictured!
Love these bunkbeds. My husband put them together in about two hours. They are sturdy and beautiful. Much cheaper, too, than similar options we saw at stores. This product is pretty decent for the price

Decent quality for the price point. Requires two people move and assemble, and over four hours of assembly time with basic tools
