It is a very sturdy desk. Exactly what I needed for the I have. The assembly instructions are not very clear at all and should be a bit more detailed.
Because I have assembled furniture on my own before I was able to figure it out. It took a total of 3 to 4 hours to assemble on my own. The only other issue was that there was a crucial piece I needed to complete the drawer during assembly that was missing and because I needed this put together asap I had to get creative and put a homemade finishing touch to it. Other than that I really like the desk and would say it was well worth the price.
Comes in tons of pieces and having two people to put it together is best. They provided plenty of spare screws etc and even a little screwdriver but we used our own. It feels sturdy and looks great in our sons room.
This is a desk that I am using for my desktop computer. It has all the features I need. It was pretty easy to assemble
with the high quality screws and nuts that were included.
The desk is sturdy took about 2 hrs to put together. Only took long because the way they instructed to put the screws for the drawer couldnt possibly allow it to close properly. Lucky I got creative strategically placed the screws so that it worked in the end. Had to make my own holes though. Eh as long as my kid is happy.
I searched for smaller desks to place in a few offices but kept finding desks that were 200! I turned to and found the same desk at a great price! It puts together easily and are vwry sturdy. I plan to purchase more when I need desks!
The desk is well packaged with corner protectors inside the heavy shipping box. Im satisfied with the material which is 3/4 particle board. For the price, I was prepared for thinner boards. The problem during assembly concerns the plastic anchor inserts in all the boards. A handful of anchors spin inside their holes and prevents the screw peg from seating. The solution is to screw the peg into the anchor until it spins, then pull the whole anchor out of the hole and wrap layer of masking tape around the anchor. Reinsert the anchor and it held long enough to drive the screw peg the rest of the way.
The only other issue I had was the drawer slides for the keyboard drawer is pretty rough. I would suggest replacing them with a set of 14 full extension drawer slides that you can find here or any hardware store.
Really nice, sturdy little desk for a small . Using it in a home office with limited room. It only has small drawer but also has a couple of shelves to put things on. Not terribly hard to assemble. I did it al in about 3 hours. Would probably be ideal as a student desk for a kid/teenager or even a college student.
Overall the desk turned out great and I dont regret my purchase. Most of it was easy to assemble, but the reason Im docking it is because of some of the directions that DID give me issues:
1. There were many pre/drilled holes that were incorrect, so I had to make new s myself by hammering the screw to get the hole started.
2. There were MANY errors with the directions for the drawer rollers. I had to take out all the screws I put in and put them in a new place on the drawer roller to get the drawer and keyboard tray to work Had I left them as the directions said, I wouldnt have been able to even get them on the tracks, AND they wouldnt have shut all the way due to the screws getting in the way even though I screwed them in as much as possible. I was able to finally get the keyboard tray so that it does not stick out, but as you can see from my picture, the drawer still sticks out. I dont feel like taking out ALL of those screws and moving them AGAIN to be able to make the drawer close all the way because its not worth the pain, but I definitely find it annoying!
I had a missing part (bottom of drawer) so I contacted the company and they quickly sent me the part for free. The desk is sturdy and I was impressed with the customer service with the missing part, but I found the incorrect directions and pre/drilled holes incredibly infuriating.
