I am an Prime member and this time I had to pay to ship. I understand that was because this was from a 3rd party so I paid it. The problem is the hardware doesnt fit the poles. The round caps that go on both ends of the poles are to small so they fall out. This means my floors will be scuffed and more importantly my grandkids can remove the caps and then cut themselves on the metal poles. I called and I am being told I have to deal with the 3rd party on this even though they sold it to me. I work in customer service and I would never have my customer deal with 3rd party. I would handle the situation and deal with 3rd party myself. I am not happy one bit and I have been an customer for over 10 years.
The ladder for some odd reason was the only one to be misaligned, I had to align and route a new hole in order for the screws to slide through and tighten it to the rest of the frame. Otherwise its sturdy and seems to hold well, instructions were pretty easy to understand for set up. I do recommend screwing in the screws pretty loosely to just have enough of a hold before tightening all the way to prevent having to screw back and forth if something is wrong or misaligned.
This is a high quality loft bed. I bought two for my kids that share a room and they look fantastic. Sturdier than I expected, and probably about as sturdy as a loft bed can be, but they do wobble a bit when kids climb up the ladder. I bought my own wall anchors instead of using the included pieces, and that really helped with the wobbling once I double bolted them into wall studs.
My only warning that I havent seen in other reviews is to wear gloves or bandaids on your fingers to avoid blisters when putting this together. The instructions are really clear and straightforward, but there are like 20,000 bolts and most of them require a hefty amount of finger tightening before using the always awkward Allen wrenches in tight spaces.
I put two of these together by myself because apparently Im bad at planning and life is pain. I used kitchen chairs to prop up the sides when it was time to assemble the larger pieces at right angles, so you could do that too, or spare yourself and wrangle some help from someone. It took me about 3 hours per bed and RIP to my fingers. Totally worth it for the end result, tho. Definitely recommend.
Really like this bed. It is sturdy and compact. We will zip tie the ladder to the bed to save space. That worked well. Takes time to construct but not difficult. Ordered two memory mattresses. Now just have to wait for the grandkids to come!!

Be prepared for holes not to line up

Easy to build
Its a great product but I do wish it was a bit more sturdy. It shakes a little.
