The table was easily assembled, the shelving looks looks like solid wood. The whole piece has the look of a more expensive piece of furniture, yet the price is so affordable! My daughter loved it as well and got one for Christmas for her home. I will purchase any of the several other units this brand offers, so many options! Definitely a great look and solid structure!?

Could have had more detailed instructions, but we managed to put it together in about an hour. The holes all lined up and all parts were enclosed and numbered. Everything went together easily once we had it figured out. This shelf is definitely worth the money!
