My wife and I got rid of our old four/poster bed we have had for the last 24 years and wanted something new. We recently set up a platform bed in our guest room so we thought we would give it a try in our master bed room. Our old bed would creak, squeak rattle a lot with any extra movement in the bed. This platform bed doesnt make a single sound with any extra movement. This is great since our sons room shares a wall with the MBR.
We were able to get rid of our box springs and use our memory foam gel mattress on our new platform bed. Im not sure if its my imagination or not but our mattress seems like its a lot more firm then when it was on our box springs on our four poster bed. Either way we are getting used to it and starting to enjoy it more and more each night. The bed height is perfect for us with the platform bed being at 14 tall and our mattress adds another 12 for a total of 26 bed height.
If feels a little weird not having a head board or foot board but we are getting used to it after about a week of sleeping on it. It does make it much easier to make the bed in the morning though. All in all we are very, very happy with our new platform bed. I would definitely buy it again. Our did have a few blemishes in the painted/powder coated frame rails but not enough to worry about. Especially when it will be covered by bedding.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality. The last bed frame (different brand) I bought online is a cheap, wobbly piece of junk. This one, however, is great! Thick metal and pieces of wood. And they even send you a couple extra bolts use in case one tolls away!
Needed an extra bedframe after the last one was infested with bed bugs. The frame itself is modern/looking and it fits great in our space! My oldest son will be delighted to see it when he gets home.
This would have gotten 5 stars if it had been new. There were defects I had to hammer out to get screws through and boards in place and the leg bases looked like theyd been dragged across a concrete floor. I posted full price I would have liked a new bed frame. But we needed it now so we are using it.
Once I fixed the defects it was a breeze to put together, is very sturdy and feels comfortable under our memory foam mattress.
Would recommend but would suggest the seller do more thorough product testing on holes and attachments.
Im hard to please sometimes. I am pleased with this bed frame. It is very well made, strong, doesnt squeak, everything fit well, took only 15 minutes to assemble by myself, and I couldnt be happier. I wish it was a tad bit higher because Im 64 and could use the room underneath to store larger tubs, but its probably a perfect height for all others. I will have this frame for many years I already know.
