This bed is PERFECT for my daughters room, who is 6 years old. Im proud to say that I assembled the whole thing entirely by myself. It took probably 3-4 hours over the course of a weekend and I had to use a wireless drill to drill in a bunch of holes (probably around 20), but the directions were easy enough to follow. My daughter absolutely loves it and we cant wait to have her first sleep over.
My daughter bought one for my granddaughter and shes been using it for the past year. It is sturdy and stands the abuse- you know how rough toddlers could be!
I recently bought the same bed for my granddaughter to use when she sleeps over at my house. This is an awesome company in terms of customer service. I had a problem with the footboard and they could not have been more helpful in figuring out what I needed and sending replacement pieces.
We received our kit and my husband was able to put it together fairly quickly. Its a nice looking bed and fairly solid. I had purchased 2 10inch mattresses for this trundle set up. I would recommend getting the smaller mattresses. 10 inches is definitely too thick for the trundle. It will not pull out or push in with ease with that size mattress. Thankfully we do not need the bed, it is just a back up. Thought I would share what I learned in an effort to help others who may also be thinking thicker os better.
I am so happy that I purchased this bed! Very sturdy and high quality. Made from real solid wood, no pressboard! It tool about an hour for my husband and i to put together. I reccomend that you have someone help you, as it would be hard to assemble alone. The price on is also fabulous, WAY cheaper than direct from the and site. I would def purchase again!
