This is a sturdy, attractive cabinet. I like the finish on it. The instructions were clear. They even included a few extra screws in case you lost one, which I did. I would have preferred pilot holes for the screws in the back, but the screws that went into the more finished sides had holes. I did have some problems getting the top of the doors to retract because I put the front door in first, but aside from that the doors were easy to install. Just make sure you hit the right track. They roll very smoothly. One of my doors has a scratch on it, so I put it in the back to hide it. Not something I am going to bother returning, though. If I couldnt hide it, I would have asked for a replacement.
I bought it to be a TV stand and unfortunately my DVD player is older and larger and it is too narrow for me to fit the DVD player inside and use the doors, so I had to put it on top. That was my error for not measuring better and taking into account the cables that come out the back of the DVD player and that inch or two they need spare. If you have a smaller BluRay or DVD player or other gaming console, youd probably be fine. I plan to put a 32 TV on top and I think it will be sturdy enough for that. In the meantime, I put my DVDs inside. The shelf is and you could buy another shelf/supports to add more storage. Overall a nice cabinet.
I did not have a drill, but I did have a ratcheting screwdriver. You will want something like that because the back in particular has a LOT of screws and it will hurt your hand after a while. A manual screwdriver will be more difficult/painful.
I was able to put this together by myself in about an hour or so. Easier than and better quality.
This is not your run/of/the/mill cheap screw together cabinet this is a quality piece of furniture very easy to put together as long as you follow the instructions the cabinet will add a nice look to any room we are using it as a liquor storage cabinet and side table bar it is definitely a quality product without having to pay outrageous prices for it
Nice little pantry for my kitchen. It looks nice and does what its supposed to. My only complaint is that the magnets on it are kinda cheap and dont always behave as they should.
The assembly instructions didnt have words in English or any other language. We followed the diagrams given, the number or letter assigned to the different parts, and it was not an easy job. We checked and double checked our work and that took a lot of time. We have assembled many things over the years, this was the hardest. Oh we got it done but it took approximately 5 hours to do it. Love the cabinet, just what we wanted, sturdy and roomy.
I purchased this for my dining room/office space and it is exactly what I needed! It arrived on time and came in 1 large box. There were several pieces labeled with letters and the instructions along with screws and other small pieces. My 16 yr old daughter helped me put this together and it took us about an hour in all(after she put a door on upside down, but we wont get into that one.lol) Anyhow, as I first started putting it together, I started doubting my purchase as it is not real wood but a sturdy material and when you twist those screws in, you start to see what I thought was splitting of the material but once you get a few completed, you realize the material does that in those places when you start but once the screw is in, it covers the top coat so it isnt visible. I like that it has the top shelf area and so I can use the top to keep things tidy and the upper shelf for decorative purposes. The doors have magnetic closure. It is a small piece but perfect for the space I needed. I have purchased bins for the shelves behind the doors and if you are looking for size reference as I was, you will need no larger than 11.75W x 11.75Dx 8H. I actually found some that were 11x11x6 and are perfect. If the shelves are placed in the middle, you have about 9 inches total height per each shelf if that helps. The middle section of shelves are slightly larger, though.
I would recommend this to someone looking for a nice looking piece for a decent price. I feel the price is right on for this item and actually may buy a few more pieces from this brand now that I know the quality. Once it is all together, it looks so nice.
FYI just to save a little timewhen we were nearly ending the completion of putting it together, we could only find 1/2 of the back piece. I was so bummed and started to make a call requesting them to send the other half piece, when we realized it was folded over on itself. It is super thin, but it doesnt matter as it was literally on the back and you never see it.
