Update: The folks at were very responsive and promptly replaced the broken piece and offered to ship me the cross brace. I actually redesigned my DIY base and didnt really need the cross braces anyway. I do think they need to update the product page to explicitly state that the 11 ft version does not include the cross brace.
The umbrella is very high quality and extremely easy to raise, lower, and rotate / it takes very little effort to adjust. I got it just in time to put away for the winter, so I wont be able to see how it holds up in wind until the spring.
For any of you DIY folks that want to build your own base, I highly recommend it. I built mine based on another persons review and made a few tweaks. I made the platform out of two 36x36 pieces of 3/4 plywood sandwiched together, then wrapped it with 1x6 cedar planks. 16 12 square pavers provide the weight, and then I added a cedar top to conceal the pavers.
Turned out really nice. Im thinking about adding another level to make it into a table for under my patio cover during the winter.

After reading reviews and QA for hours, I was convinced that this came with the cross base. I planned to build my own weighted rolling base using the cross base to mount it. However, it doesnt come with one. Very disappointing. Mine is the 11ft version / maybe it comes with the 9 or 10 foot version, hard to say.
Also, the plastic cover plate in the box was cracked, so Ill be contacting their support to see if theyll replace that and maybe send me the cross base. Ill update my review once we see what they do for me.
I use this to keep the sun off my pool. This is the most sturdy umbrella stand I have ever owned. You will need a heavier base than the one that comes with it. I was surprised by the crank that rotates it 360 degrees and the tilt feature!
This umbrella is high quality and easy to set up. We bought the in/ground base, since we didnt want to give up the patio real estate for a movable base. This arrangement is perfect for us. The accompanying instructions were pretty minimal, but since the thing came assembled, not a big deal. I dinged it slightly cause it was more expensive than similar items, but I have no idea what their quality would be. Comes with a great cover for the winter. We love it!
March 2022 update: Customer service is aming. Umbrella has withstood wind, ran, and sun. This is the first piece of outdoor furniture that Ive been impressed with.
Great looking, high quality, sturdy umbrella. This has really extended the use of our patio. This isnt a cheap big/box store umbrella. The 360 rotation and tilting means you can control where the shade lands: During the high noon sun we leave it horizontal (flat). When the sun is lower on the horizon we tilt it vertically. It handles light breezy days but at 11 wide it can act as a sail so be extra careful when its tilted completely vertical. We added four bags of sand for extra weight and place a rubber mat under the base so it wouldnt slide on our smooth concrete patio. This is not cheap, especially after adding the base (not included). But its very nice and the manufacturer immediately addressed an issue I had and they also followed up.

I purchased for my beer and wine garden customers love them, even holds up in just a light little breeze, I wouldnt recommend leaving them out in the wind. Thank you so much I love the product

The umbrella arrived with part of shipment missing. Container was damaged in shipping. customer service went to great lengths to correct the problem. Its a beautiful, easy to use umbrella. I love it.
I am really pleased with this umbrella. It is well/made, sturdy and easy enough for one person to open and close. The base seems to hold the unit in place on windy days, and I like that it is filled with water that can be emptied for the winter. The handles and controls for adjusting the height, tilt, and position, are substantial and a breeze to operate. The top wind canopy has separate spokes, so when the wind blows, it inflates and provides additional steadiness. My favorite feature, not always included with other umbrellas, is the cover that comes with it. This 11/foot umbrella is tall, and the design is genius with a pole that you used to raise the cover to the top of the umbrella. It then simply drapes over the umbrella and you zip and tie at the bottom. Again, this is a one/person job. may be pricey, but it is worth the investment if you dont want to wrangle with your umbrella every time you open and close.
