Just got this so I cant comment too much about the long term comfort. Just wanted to warn anyone looking at the gray color that the one I got is more silver than gray, shiny and modernish, which is fine, but it doesnt look that great with my wall color and I may have chosen another color if Id known it was so shiny. Very easy to assemble but watch out for dogs or teenagers walking over the back while youre putting it together. I was actually able to move this myself by rolling it up the stairs, so its not that heavy. Im short so the couch is a good height. I can imagine a tall person might not like it. The bed isnt super comfortable. But that could be a plus if you dont want your guests to stay too long.
I really like this couch a lot. I purchased it for its size and looks alone. Originally, I was intending to buy a convertible futon/couch, but none had the classy sophisticated look this has. I use it for my office and wanted something I could lay down on for a quick nap. I was concerned this might be too short. I am 57 and I can lay out comfortably with a pillow against the arm. It is on the firmer side and feels well supported with just enough give. Everyone who has sat in it comments on how comfortable it is. It fits nicely in the office without taking over the room.
The fabric feels durable and the 5 legs give it a rock solid sturdiness. I had to wait over 2 months for it to arrive, but the wait was well worth it. The shipping box was flimsy and gouged with holes and tears. I feared the couch would show damage. Despite the condition of the box, the couch had a temporary plastic foot, like a hockey puck, in the middle to protect the bottom from dragging during shipping. The couch was covered in plastic and no damage or dirt to be found. It is also fairly light to move and fits through a turn in a stairway easily.
Really easy to set up, No off gassing or other chemical odors. After several months, it still looks great, no pilling, tears or depressions in the cushions. It should be noted that this isnt a primary couch for the living room or den that would get heavier usage. So mileage may vary depending on how much it is used. This is a great choice if you are not looking for a full sized couch. I consider it the Goldilocks model, just the right size.
This is a beautiful quality product. It came packaged fairly well. There were some punctures in the cardboard packaging (where fork lifts punctured it)...so I was a little worried (and took some photos just in case) of any damage. Alas, inside, everything was fine. I screwed in the 4 legs (hiding inside a zippered compartment underneath)...and that was it! It is a gorgeous part of my living room. Very sturdy feeling. Firm cushions. It gets many, many compliments and I absolutely could not be happier!
If you sit down hard or jump onto it, there is a chance that one or more metal springs (more like metal tension wires) will pop out of their place inside the cushion. You can tell that something has popped out of place by visually inspecting the underside for protruding metal wiring. This actually happened twice to my futon. The solution is to open the underside of the futon and put the metal tension wire back into its secure position. Just look at the remaining secured tension wires and you will know where/how to secure the loose one.
In my case, one end of a tension wire popped out of its socket. I just pulled and put that end back into its socket. To further ensure that it will not pop out again, I used a line of frame wiring (for hanging picture frames) and tied the tension wire that popped to one of the wooden struts inside the cushion.
I think the futon is on the expensive side given its mediocre quality. One look inside the cushion is enough to know that you have to be really gentle with this piece of furniture to make it last.
The external futon design and material used are very nice though. I bought the black leather; it looks great! But be gentle with it because its not $500+.
Ordered this for my mother. She liked the clean and simple design - she was very concerned about the seat height. The seat is a great height for myself (55) and my brother-in-law (64). Can comfortably sit three average people. Cushions are firm but comfortable, I imagine over time they will soften some over time. Very easy to assemble (just screw the legs on) and slip the round support pillows on behind the back cushions.
Its a cool side of a medium gray color.
Threw a knit blanket and a couple pillows on it for color. Mom is very happy.
See photos attached. I included the paper insert as I read some people didnt know where the feet are stored. (Theyre in a zipper compartment under the sofa.)

Great Deal
Very cute. Easy to put together. A little hard but good for kids. Looks really cute in my daughters room and perfect for sleep overs .
Beautiful piece of furniture! Quality is amazing!
Perfect size, quality is great and the comfort is more than we anticipated.
Very uncomfortable
Looks great, but not ideal for sleeping -- even for the occasional guest
Gray is more silver than gray

Nice futon for a dorm room; just dont jump on it

No regrets
Great product. Very happy with purchase, especially given the low price.
