I had high hopes for this product. It looks much cheaper in person. It arrived with some scratches and paint chipped off. The headboard is very short. If you like to use shams and pillows, it will conceal most of the headboard. It does creak when you get into the bed. But for the price of the bed, it is decent. We will not be using this bed in our master and saving it for a guest room. Its too cheap for everyday usage. FYI, this bed should not be used with a box spring; it will make it so high.
I failed to measure my mattress before ordering this bed and it is so thick that it almost covers the lovely headboard. I would also recommend that you measure on the wall how tall the headboard is....I have very tall ceilings and this headboard looks a little short for the space. I will fix it visually with some art work. The color is what I expected and looks great in my room. It has a very nice finish and so far seems very sturdy--there are no squeaky metal noises when tossing and turning. Overall I recommend this bed....the four stars might be a bit unfair since I didn't do my homework by checking measurements.
Really wanted to love this frame. It was delivered this morning, as soon as I opened it I could tell, it was slightly damaged. The headboard was bent and the metal rods do not fit in it now because its misshapen now. Going to have to return.
update company not only refunded me the cost I paid for the bed, they also let me keep the bed. They are great people to work with. I think the bed was mishandled by the shipping company not the manufacturer. I think they did a great job in making sure I was happy.
About 2 days after we started sleeping on it, the middle piece of metal on hubby's side started bending to the point that the metal piece was stratching our wooden floors and his side of the mattress was sagging. Not too excited about that at all, ended up going back to our $65 platform metal frame we bought a couple years ago, it held up 100% better for much cheaper.
So many pieces, nuts and bolts to make it ready but once it was done, I thought the pain is over. Within a week squeaking sound started coming when I was turning on the bed and after close inspection I found the nut needs tightening . Next week the same happened and now after couple of weeks, I am used to tightening them every week.
No where does it say platform bed, I purchase this item so both mattress and box springs would be used, very disappointed to get it all put together to find it to be a platform bed.
to set up. I Followed the Directions, literally, there are only 8 Steps to Assemble the Bed. I had it together with my self in less than 10 Min. There is nothing about the Bed that feels cheap.I am really happy that this bed has a Metal Slats as opposed to Wood Slats. I have had real issues with wood slats breaking in the past.
Comfortable under my mattress. Other frames have a middle that can be felt through the mattress in the middle. This one does not due to the way it is constructed.
This was really not too hard to put together. I didn't even need any help for my husband! Looks great in the guest room. I didn't use the little added pieces for the mattress not to slip because I have it up against a wall, but would definitely recommend if you need to have it with walking room in both sides because the mattress slides easily. Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that some of the pieces were bent and I had to really work hard to stretch them with a tool to get the headboard connected to its legs

double check the thickness of your mattress

Damaged upon opening.

Not made from strong metal at all
