Im overall very pleased with this purchase, but will note that it is NOT a quick or easy 1person job to assemble. The wood is laminate with a wood effect finish, which is probably to be expected for the price. I dont mind - it looks lovely, and is going to be super-easy to wipe down, hard to stain, etc. I like the dimensions, it looks neat and elegant, not bulky, and works well in a small space. The two-tier aspect (and drawer - although its a shallow drawer) also make good use of the footprint.
As for the assembley: it came with all the right pieces, so theres that. The manual was not factually inaccurate. BUT, the diagrams were almost like trick questions at points, like they were designed to catch you out: youd assume that the sequence of diagrams took the same perspective, but without any indication, sometimes they would show the parts laid out upside-down or back-to-front versus the previous illustration, so it was VERY easy to accidentally mix up left with right when you seemed to be following instructions carefully. My advice to anyone working on this would be to examine each new diagram carefully and assume theres a catch!
The second thing Ill say - about it being more of a two- person job - is that there were various points where the assembley was kind of three-dimensionsal and you really wanted two pairs of hands to be able to hold three different things at one time so that a screw could go in the right place. It was definitely manageable with one, but harder than other flat-pack assembley jobs Ive done.
Finally, there was one part where the wood was just cut wrong, and left a small gap between one of the boards and the supporting bar. Its not a weight-bearing part, just ornamental really, and the desk is excellently supported overall - feels very sturdy - and the gap is at the back and isnt a noticeable design flaw, so this really wasnt a big deal for me. But just noting it as en error. (The two screws that were supposed to go in here I just had to leave out.)
If youre willing to bring time and patience to the assembley, I think its excellent value for money.
Tucks into a spare corner and holds my laptop and work monitor. Im 61 and its fine to sit at. Holds a 15 laptop and a 27 display at an angle. Not too wobbly.
This is a great value for anyone working from home tempo-permanently during the pandemic. I would NOT expect this desk to last for many years of heavy use, but thats not what youre paying for.
The assembly is mostly straightforward, with two caveats:
1. The smaller silver screws tend to strip out in the very cheap particle board, so exercise care when screwing those in. If you do strip them (I stripped two), replace with deck/drywall screws and hammer down/saw off the points of the screws if they poke through the other side.
2. Unless you have four hands, ignore the order of the instructions and assemble the whole base first and then put the tabletop on.
Love the size. However, a lot of the pieces didnt add up. One piece I cannot screw on at all so its wobbly and is making me nervous. One piece I cant screw on unless I put it upside down where the unfinished side is showing. I guess thats what I get for paying such a low price. Itll do for now.
Great value. Im never buying another desk/table without metal legs. This thing is nice and sturdy , the finish has a bit of texture , I havent had any scratching problems , but then again , I use a giant gaming mouse pad.
Not the sturdiest but worth it! I didnt want a huge desk so this was perfect. Dont expect to pile stuff on this desk. Im able to place two monitors and a mini laptop with no issue. Love it.
Working from home during the CV-19 quarantine I didnt want to spend a lot of money with the financial uncertainty but Im super happy with this purchase. I only paid $35 at the time of my purchase so I can forgive how easily it nicks.Im not expecting much from this desk. I do recommend if you have a heavy computer this may not be for you. Its not necessarily wobbly, but the main work surface is only for 30 pounds (and the top shelf and bottom shelf is rated for 10 pounds). It actually looks goodnow if I can ever get in my chair Ill be happy.
With the immediate work from home situation I needed a desk quickly that I could slide into my room without looking like it was totally out of place. This one is beautiful, matches other furniture I have perfectly, was easy to assemble, and an amazing value for the price!
So far I like the desk. Its a little smaller than I had originally thought but it still works. The instructions said 30 min for set up but it took me a little longer. It wasnt hard to put together and Im not a person who likes to put things like this together. Some screws were challenging to screw in because of the angles. All in all I like it and would recommend.

Looks great; not an easy 1-person assembley

Good for delicate people or short-term use

Good Desk for price.
The instructions werent the best but it was generally easy to put together and its study enough to hold a printer, laptops and some books.
Exactly what I needed!!
This is a great, compact and sturdy table which I actually needed for my work.
