This wood piece is very nice and made extremely well! I put it together myself in about 25 minutes. Its a solid, beautiful piece that is sturdy and will last. Im extremely happy with this, especially for the price!
I put this item together all by myself under an hour. Putting in the doors probably is the hardest part if you work alone. Try to use an extra help for easier assembly. I love the color, love the size, love the entire product. I use it for storing shoes and as a decorative bench in the entryway.
The assembled bench is great. The finish and material are good.
The problem is with the assembly due to the manufacturing quality. The milling on the doors isnt accurate (i.e. deep enough) for the hinges, so you have to wrestle with the doors to get them in place. The second problem is that the screws for the knobs are an eighth of an inch too short. BTW the rest of the assembly was pretty straight forward, but it would help to have another person to hold the pieces together.
For the price this is a very good bargin and being it is made almost entirely of hardwood rather than pressboard makes it a double bonus. The only part that is not wood is the unseen back but it has the same finish as the rest of the bench.
Putting it together single handedly is a bit of a challenge and frankly I had to re-arrange the order of their instructions slightly. Although it comes with dowels you will want to use wood glue for best results and for a sturdy frame. I found that after I had it together and had all those hex screws tightened it was solid and did not wobble at all.
The finish is very close to the photo depicted which frankly was a relief and I feel comfortable sitting on it as it easily supports my weight. The underneath storage is roomy and why I bought it in the first place. I would buy this product again.
This was fairly easy to assemble, the only part that required 2 people was the final step on the doors. The unit =will hold 8 pairs of adult shoes, or 10 with a combo of kids shoes, sandals and adult shoes\",,2022/4/4 0:00,,US,enable,0
