Just finished assembling this, took about 3 hours solo. I’ve assembled a lot of flat-pack furniture in the past and this went together very smoothly. Instructions were clear and holes precisely drilled.
Slightly wobbly even with everything torqued down as much as I dared. Some components are quite soft wood but the most important elements (desk top and ladder rings) are made of quite heavy duty stuff.
I absolutely love this bed! The quality is great, looks amazing, and the assembly is straight forward and easy! My 11 year old daughter put her whole bed together by herself from reading the instructions, with me just stepping in to hold pieces here and there while she got the screws started on some steps. She is super excited about this bed and she has so much pride in the fact that she assembled it herself! I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone who needs a loft bed for a small room or just wants more functionality in the space they have available!
My 9 year-old granddaughter wanted a loft bed. I insisted it had to meet the highest safety standards. This loft bed was the perfect choice. She has a small bedroom, so this bed gives her extra space and a desk, which she also needed. The desktop is already filled with her favorite things. We also bought a bulletin board and it is on the wall in front of the desk, giving her a place to display pictures and her drawings. To finish it off, we bought a rug to place under the bed to create a reading nook. She is very happy with her new bed.
This is a great way to make use of a tiny room. The storage space underneath is great! The bed itself is sturdy enough for an adult.
The only cons I have to report were:
1. the instructions were a little unclear. They are all pictures, no words, which is handy for people who speak and read different languages, but it would have been really good to have a little bit of explanation on a couple of the steps. However, I managed it all by myself over a couple of evenings.
2. The ladder and ladder-opening are pretty narrow. If you are an adult with hips, it is a tight squeeze.
But overall, I am very happy with how this turned out and it turned a tiny room into a really useful space.
Thoroughly pleased! My baby boy 5, loves his new big boy bed. The bed came in two boxes, one long one around 150lbs and a box for the desk, around 30lbs. I purchased the Clay.
I have been in search of a suitable bed for my child for a few months and I choose this bed for a few reasons
1.Solid wood, most of the contenders were not solid and had particle board, I considered the DONCO Kids Low Study Loft Bed, Dark Cappuccino for reference
2.Weight limit, this has a 400 lb weight limit that he can grow into and I don’t have to worry about it breaking down
3.No Proposition 65 Warning
4.Neutral color, he has a dark wood chest of drawers and this fit in with existing decor
5.Desk storage included as he has a small room
It took two days for install, started on Sunday afternoon at 30pm, finished at 9pm, had whole bed installed except for desk. I took wine breaks lol. Desk installed next day and took 20 minutes. Only needed help to connect side rails, everything else I was able to do on my own because I am a beast at all things. All hardware/wood was accounted for before install and that took some time as well. Instructions (44pages) are visual only and very simple to understand. I only encountered two issues. Item 1A bookcase, I had to swap pieces 1920 as they were backwards. And I was not able to add one of the corner screws for the desk, hole mismatch possibly, did not want to force it and damage anything, left it be. Pretty sturdy. Due to it being in a temporary location until we move, I did not secure all of the wood slats on the bed frame, just the middle and more than secure. I also skipped the corner bracket install for the desk, it’s pretty solid and can do without. I opted for a 8inch mattress but it think you could probably get away with a 10inch. Also there was a light order from the wood/paint, it has dissipated in the past 24hours. No real damage to the wood, just a nick on one of the shelves and one side of the desk was slightly discolored.
Overall worth the $540, going to put a sheet over front so he can still have a little secret cave to play but this is a great buy. I would suggest this bed. I was pretty hesitant to buy as it had not reviews but here you go.
This looks nice. My daughter is Very happy with it. However it was overpriced and it came in a ton of pieces. I could not have put it together myself thank goodness for my husband.

I purchased a support bar from Discovery World to give extra support under the slats.

Fast delivery. Easy to build with good quality. Would have liked options with ladder placement to allow more options for placement in room.
Sturdy, space-saving
