The frame that came with my headboard and footboard was wood and broke, so we bought this as a solution to the problem. Fit perfectly inside our wooden frame. We added plywood since we already had it, for more support. The reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 was that one of the threads was too small. Luckily we have a re/threader and now the screw fits perfect. However, I do not think that most people have a re/threader; so that could definitely be a huge problem. But I mean a smaller screw would have worked just as well. Other than that, came together quickly. Seems really sturdy too. This is day one so if there are other problems, I will re/edit this review. The box it came in is exactly as pictured.
Had a lower profile frame before.sobeing this high up, again, felt like I was licking the ceiling! After adjusting to the taste of the ceiling, it is the perfect height for a single thick mattress. Plus, the underneath storage is extremely welcomed in my smallerish place (bought a skirt to his the stuff underside, also a great product).
It was incredibly easy to assemble, very sturdy, and my only real concern, initially: it isnt squeaky! Woot! Woot!

Related to assembling I either struggled really hard or did not put this together correctly because after only a few days with myself and children did it cave in. Every other day since have I had to fix something! Plastic pieces for the ends of the poles are not sturdy enough to hold the poles in place, etc. I cant afford to rebuy or even buy anything else so Ill settle. Thank You!
Edit: Several nights sleeping on mattress and I absolutely LOVE it! Ill definitely be recommending to family and friends!First night slept absolutely perfect! I have chronic back pain and mattress is very supportive. I slept on my side comfortably. Didnt toss and turn at all. This mattress is definitely more FIRM than medium but for me it works because I need the support. So far Im highly pleased. Mattress is made sturdy not cheaply put together.
Its pretty great so far, I needed another person to help assemble, but otherwise its pretty easy, and it seems sturdy, but everyone and a while a specific spot creaks under my weight
All in all this was easy to put together but the part where you slide the pieces together was bent I had to take another part of the bed that was smaller stick it inside and physically unbend it . It took multiple times and the paint was chipped where it was bent as well . But I fixed it and got it put together!
