Came slightly damaged, but the issue was on the underside of the top bench so I moved on. Its basically sturdy particleboard with good screws and nails holding it together. Im not unhappy! This bench holds a 220-pound person while putting on their shoes, so it does the job I need. I would purchase it again.
The directions to assemble the product were not fully correct. We had to make holes with a drill that were supposed to be there already and assembling took longer than it should have. Other than that, the bench looks great and feels sturdy.
This bench is very well made. I bought the first one to put in our closet, to have a place to sit to put on shoes, but the added benefit of the cube storage. The cubes are a little bigger than most. I put the first bench together by myself, but I got my husband to help with the second one. That one is in my sewing room. The cushion does slide easily off of the top, but that is usually because of my cats jumping on and off of it.
Product is very easy to assemble. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Item is as described. This is my second one in my store. Great for shoes and or storage!

I guess I was looking for good quality furniture, but thats not the case here. Its fine for what Im using it for and its a good value for the money. I recently bought expensive furniture from Rooms To Go, so I guess I was looking for the same quality. Im using it primarily as a step for my dog to get up on a high bed, and for that, it serves its purpose. I gave it an overall 4 rating because I took the price into consideration. Its fine for $64. But its really cheap Chinese junk. Assembly is a royal pain, so if youve never assembled furniture, youd be well advised to get someone fairly handy. Otherwise, youll be cursing like crazy. Bottom line, as a doggie step, its fine!

Love this bench. Had trouble putting it together. Some of the hardware got broke when trying to assemble. But over all very nice product.
