I bought these to go in my sons bedroom, they look very nice but were cheap enough that I dont need to stress about them getting ruined in a 5 year olds room. All the pieces just screw together (you dont need a rubber mallet) I put both of them together in about 10 minutes. Theyre made of artificial wood and plastic so if you want something long lasting, you might want to skip these. If you want cheap, nice looking tables for a lightweight lamp or something to set your drink/candles/book on youll be happy. If youre spending $35 on two end tables and expecting the best quality, youre gonna be disappointed.
