Son loves his new bed. Watch instruction and it isnt too bad to put together. Very secure and holds a good amount of weight per rating. Its pretty though!
I picked this bunk because I thought the assembly would be much easier than a wood bunk given my past experience. I was wrong. This bunk had what seemed like 1000+ pieces! The instructions are decent but it took us approximately 3hrs and we were moving along pretty well. The bed is fairly sturdy but I wouldnt trust too long for rambunctious children. Overall, it looks nice and I recommend as long as you are aware of what you are getting. Much better than expected
Being not much of a fan of bed frames, this will serve its purpose. The charge for assembly of the bed is incorrect. 59 is for a simple bedframe assembly, when in reality, I was quoted 100 to assemble a bunkbed futon by the assembly person. needs to attach the correct fee to the product. Im enjoying it so far!
Extremely difficult to put together, literally took about 4/5 hours. But overall its a nice bunk bed. Its very easy to lay out the futon into a bed. Does not take up a lot of space, which is what I was going for. So far Im super happy with it!
This set of bunkbeds is sturdy, a great price, and not hard to put together. A lot of reviewers stated it was horrible to assemble. If you do not have a power drill or tools in general, yes it would be. If you are using the 2 tools they send with it, it would be a nightmare. Every household needs a power drill with a set multiple bits. I put this together, listening to music and in no rush, in 2 1/2 hours.
The directions were clear, I own nice tools due to life in general and for my job, and took my time. If you dont own tools, would not use them a lot, places like harbor freight sell good enough quality for the price. You dont have to have expensive tools like me. Heck a 50 dollar power drill is something everyone should have. If you are looking for a great price for a decent bunkbed, this is it. It does not squeak if put together correctly. Remember to go back and tighten bolts in the beginning stages as you line the bed up.
If you are looking for a hefty, luxurious set of bunk beds, this is not it. I would purchase again for my son and recommend to a friend. I dont expect this bed to last a lifetime. I invest hefty into quality furniture that I know I can use till I die. If not, I look for quality at a bargain. This is it. Nice style and color
Its a pretty sturdy bed. Also for the people that say it creaks, its a frame. No matter how tight you make the bolts its going to creak. If you dont want a bed that creaks I suggest you getting a wood frame. The only real problem we had with it was the part (pictures shown) had trouble lining up with the screw, besides that everything seems fine. I also bought the bed new, so if you bought it used dont expect it to be perfect. It had all the screws we needed and the extra parts were great to have on hand. (I bent a washer by putting it on wrong so it was nice to have!!)
Also, weight wise I wouldnt suggest having someone more then 200/250 on the top bunk. It holds me and my dad pretty well (separately we didnt get on the top bunk together, both of us are around the 120/140 range) He slept on it the first night and it held him all night. I also have a 8 inch thick mattress on top and the bars are a bit short so I wouldnt recommend someone sleeping on top who has a tendency to roll around, like a lot.
The futon part, I definitely recommend getting a thicker mattress or buying 2 6 in thick ones and when you go to sleep on it put the other one on top for extra comfort. I may of also not let mine fully puff up all the way so this is purely a recommendation.
For a 200 frame its definitely what its worth. As long as its not being treated like a jungle gym and you are taking care of it it should last you a good while. If anything changes within a few months all be sure to update here!! )
(Also again on the weight it does say 600 pounds but Id stay in the 400/500 range.)
Hope this helps future shoppers!! ) Meets Expectations
