    Best bunk bed ever

Bought as a Christmas present for our then 2 1/2 and 5 year old. we have had for over a year now and it is great. it did take my husband almost a whole day to assemble / but worth it. Like any bunk bed it is tricky to make the bed. We have a toddler rail on the bottom bunk for our little guy. I frequently climb and sit on beds to make/change sheets. My husband will lay on the bottom bunk with our little guy sometimes. he is 300lbs and we have had no issues. love the drawers for storage. Best bunk bed ever. Im happy with my purchase

    Not bad for the price.

Not a bad bed for the price considering one of these types usually go for 850 and over. The saying goes you get what you pay for though. I had some issues with this bed but I am decently skilled with wood worso I could fix the issues myself. I will go into more details below. Shipping and Packaging/ The materials were double boxed and arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. There was a total of 4 boxes. Each box was doubled boxed. This was a good thing since each outer boxed was damaged in some way. Instructions/ There are 2 instruction books that come with this. One for the bed and one for the staircase drawers. They are very basic and can be a little confusing. Some of the parts were not labelled which was a little of a hassle. I would rate 2/5 on the instructions and labeling. Material conditions: Most of the materials were in perfect shape. Some of the pieces on the other hand had tool marks and dents in them which was annoying but not horrible considering its for my 3 and 6 year old and they will add a lot more The really frustrating part was that there was some terrible quality control on a few pieces. One of the headboards didnt have a hole drilled for the wood dowel and only a partial drilling for the wood bolt. I am skilled enough drill them both so I could complete the project but something like that should never happen. Not for the price I am paying. The staircase rails also have 2 bolts that do not align. I can fix this myself but could be a huge issue for the everyday person who cant. I am sure my case is probably rare but 1/5 I would rate for quality checks. Assembly/ I assembled it in my daugthers bedroom since I didnt want to have to move the beds down my narrow hallway. Their room is pretty small (Could fit 2 of the beds fully assembled). I assembled the bed and staircase (minus the drawers) by myself in about 6 hours. Definitely could of cut the time down by half if I didnt have to correct some of the fittings, drill holes, better instructions etc. Overall I would recommend the bed if you are skilled with large assembly projects. After assembly its pretty sturdy and I dont think it will fall apart anytime soon. I weigh about 160 lbs and was able to walk up the stairs and lay in the bed without it creaking. Hopefully I just happened to get a bad one and this isnt a regular occurrence for other buyers. Im a bit disappointed.

    Unbeatable for the price

This bed just cannot be beat for the price. Solid wood, very stable, not hard to put together (though it does take a while!), looks great. My kids are over the moon. Pretty comfy for the price

    i like the bed

Prepare for a lengthy build and be ready to spend some time puzzling out the instructions. Youll need some space to spread everything out so you can sort it. Also, the boxes are unclear as to the contents (the steps and the bed are two separate builds) so youll need to unpack them all to figure out what you need. But, i like the bed. Sturdy and solid. Highly recommend

    Low clearance for bottom bed

I really wanted to love this set of bunk bed but I hated the fact that the clearance from the bottom bed to the top bed is too low. Its a pain in the but to get in and out of bed even for my little kids. Its even harder for me When I have to make their beds. Quality seems to be good so far

    Love it

Took awhile to set up of course, but I thought the instruction were clear and didnt have any issues. The railings are a little thin, and feel like they will break, but we have had it for four months now and they are still holding. The bottom bunk does not have a lot of room, I am 54 and can not sit up in the bottom bunk, but we bought it for the slide out bed underneath, and that is the main reason why there is not much room in the bottom bunk. Love the draws in the steps but the kids did pull of one of the front draws as they are only holding with a couple little screws. We did have to reinforce the front piece of the draws, couple bucks to buy a couple hinges and screws and they are a lot more sturdy now wont have to worry about the kids puling the front of the draw off again. I would recommend just doing it right away. Well made and comfy!

The stairs could have been a little bit sturdier but overall pretty good quality

My 15 year old son put this together. It took him about 2.5 hours to put it all together. The stairs could have been a little bit sturdier but overall pretty good quality. it is the best product.

Great bunk bed for the price

This is a good solid bunk bed with just a couple flaws: 1. The railing for the steps feels quite flimsy. We have to tell our son not to lean on that railing out of fear that it will snap and hell go flying. 2. Likewise, the top rail (the long rail that keeps someone from falling off the top bunk) feels a bit flimsy. Were not worried about that one. It seems safe, but there should probably be two additional vertical supports to keep the long rail from feeling so flimsy. 3. There were one or two cases where I had to create pilot holes and insert screws in a location other than the one specified in the directions. This didnt affect the look or function of the bunk bed, but its annoying to come across that type of error. As far as assembly goes, assume that you might have to spend 6/8 hours on this if youre doing it yourself (and youll probably need someone to help you hoist the top bunk). The packaging and instructions are fantastic and the assembly is quite easy (in my opinion), but there is SO MUCH to assemble that it just takes a long time. There are literally hundreds of things to screw, attach, tighten, etc. I started building this in the afternoon thinpeople say it took them three hours, this will be quick. Then it was 11pm and our kids were still up because I was still finishing it. If someone posts a video of themselves putting this together without any help (other than someone to help them lift the top bed) in three hours, I will send you many Schrute Bucks. P.S. One key piece was broken right out of the box. I sent an email to the company and they shipped a replacement piece for free very quickly. Im not going to let that alter my 4/star rating, but its something you should know about. No complaints, really happy
