It is not difficult to assemble. I am pretty light so the frame doesnt really shake. But still the quality of a firm wooden frame will be better. Given this price I think it is good! Like!
I really like the trundle bed and so do the Grands. The instructions made it sound hard to put together. It said it took 2 people. But Im a seventy year old woman and I did it on my own. It was fairly simple. Beautiful and Sturdy.
After about 15 days after we received our frame the rusted finish began to peel at the center of the foot board. Its where the two pieces are soldered together. As you can see in the first picture. But the frame real sturdy and it looks really nice. Works well.

Weve had this bed for about 6 months, and we noticed that there were some weak points in the frame as we were rotating the mattress. At first we thought the mattress was sagging, but it was in fact the frame bending where there were not support bars. Design flaw! The first picture shows the bar after we bent it back into shape. The second picture shows the support we added to save the frame. Overall, nice looking bed frame; weak design. Not so stable.
Update: We have now owned this bed frame for almost 5 years and it looks feels exactly like the day we bought it. I put us way over the weight limit when my husband and I share the bed but it remains rock solid. I am so so happy with this purchase, especially for the price.
My husband and I love this bed. We have had it about 4 months and it has been the best sleep weve had in years. Between the 2 of us we are over the weight limit by so we opted to not use an additional box spring. We do use a thick foam topper on top of our mattress. We have never been able to feel the bars going across the bed frame and I am a big girl. I also love the look of this bed. It goes great in my bedroom. Good Product.

Well/constructed and sturdy. Not hard to assemble and seems like it will hold up well. Perfect.
