I wanted a nice loft bed for a small room in my basement. This bed works wonderfully and it is so nice looking. A great price for what you get I think.
It had a New smell when I first got it...but I left the windows open for a few days and it went away. This bed comes in pieces and may be complicated to put together if you dont have someone who knows about those things.Thankfully I had 3 guy friends who are very skilled and woodworking and building... and it took them 3 hours to put it together from opening the boxes... to cleaning up. But it was so worth it. SO if you dont have someone skilled to help you put this bed together I would think twice. but it works great if you do!

We replaced a set of traditional bunk beds with this loft bed for our 7 yr old, and like it much better. We ended up keeping and reusing the two mattresses from the original bunks, laying the 2nd mattress on the floor under the new bed. So, we essentially still have 2 single beds, and the whole set up is lowered about a foot. The bottom space makes a nice play area, and the top bed isnt quite so scary-high for little kids. The one fault I have with most of these beds is to me as a parent, the railings never seem strong enough or high enough. So, I always end up adding some modifications to increase the strength and height. Overall a nice bed, easy to assemble. I did leave the parts to air out in the garage for a couple days, and had no problems with smell.
It’s even more beautiful in person. I wanted white, but it was out of stock. I’m so glad it was because the grey is so so pretty! Easy to assemble and very safe! My daughter loves her new bed.
My only gripe here is that the pieces were not clearly marked so there were some mis-steps during construction so setup time was a bit extended. My 8 yo loves it.
The wooden pieces did have the polyurethane smell as mentioned in precious reviews, however after a few days in the garage, the smell diminished and is now totally gone. Otherwise, easy to assemble and very sturdy. Our little guy loves it!
This was not as extensive as some of the reviews made it out to seem. It’s literally common sense, look at the pictures and do what they tell you to do... there’s no smell. Nothing. Super sturdy. My husband and I put this bed together by ourselves for our daughter.

Very stable, assembly a little hard, but not too bad. I am very pleased with the quality. I feel very safe letting daughter sleep in it!

Great bed but smelled for weeks.
Bed was very sturdy and my daughter loves it. The wood smelled very strong for weeks though.
