Wood splits in areas after putting screws in, doesnt compromise the connection, just see the splitting. Along with the stickers for assembly removes paint when you take them off. Fair for the price.
This turned out to be the perfect selection for our scenario. This is definitely a two person job (preferably with someone you get along with). Assembly took 3 hours total to complete. Perfect for my needs.
The pieces came in a 135 box that was surprisingly (frighteningly?) small. And yes, every single piece had to be connected from its most basic form. But the illustrations were clear and it went together in an afternoon. The cousins loved sharing a room and the frame seems very solid. I really like the angled ladder for young kiddos. HAPPY!!
I would give this a 5 star but putting the bed together was a PAIN IN THE ASS. Literally every piece of this bed comes in parts that you have to put together. Thank god I helped my husband or he would have been drunk by the time this thing was put together. Overall it looks great / but definitely a testy moment for a marriage. Good price.

Gave this as a gift to our daughters family. Looks really nice! Sturdy! Husband and 13 yr old grandson had it up in less then 2 hours! Do the work.
