I wish the corners were not so sharp and that there was a raised edge to hold the mattress in place. There is a sticky surface to keep the mattress in place but it is somewhat hard to keep it in straight when tucking sheets and blankets under it. I also wonder how long the sticky will last. I bought it because my Special Needs son of 9 yrs jumps on his bed and destroyed his last mattress and box spring. So far it looks like the frame in going to hold up well.
This bed is really sturdy and pretty. Took me a few hours the first night to assemble most of it and then the next day I attempted to finish the rest of the 60 screws. Then the third day, attempted again before I said screw it and used a drill VERY carefully. It’s a very short bed, but I’m happy with it.
I purchased the King size caramel colored bed frame. While the box was very heavy, nothing inside was damaged or scratched at all. The company even packs the Styrofoam in little plastic bags so the foam doesnt get everywhere like glitter! The bolts used to hold the sideboards and headboard etc together are very sturdy. Simple to assemble but definitely try to have some help while doing so. Very happy with this frame.
