So pretty!! This headboard is gorgeous! I think its made of real wood it is so heavy but the stain look of it feels like just that fake sticker wood they put over real wood. Mine had a tiny dent and chip in it from shipping I supposed but this is supposed to be rustic so I think it just adds to the charm. Great piece

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT!
Its made of particleboard. Of course its going to have a laminate to give the APPEARANCE of wood.because its not. And that laminate will scratch and chip and peel, etc.because its a laminate. The assembly is time consuming. YOURE BUYING SOMETHING TO ASSEMBLE! If you wanted something wooden with a wooden look and wooden texture that was already put together, go to a furniture store and pay the extra price it costs for those luxuries.
I bet you order a well/done steak at a full service restaurant and complain when it takes longer than 15 minutes to get your food too.
The only complaint I have is the top came scratched and the drawers were pretty difficult to fit into the tracks. I ended up scratching THE LAMINATE when I tried to force them in.

Super pain to put together/ but they are beautiful once they are finished. They didnt give us enough screws, but we improvised and made it work.
