Amazing exactly what is described Bed looks great and is sturdy enough but for one minor issue. I read the reviews before I bought the bed and so I ordered some heavy duty drawer slides. After it showed up I could see that the slides that came with it did have a cheap look to them but in all honesty I think they would have been ok. The one problem we did have was that as soon as I got the bed made and put a matress on it, I sat right on the area that everyone talks about and went right through the thin base. I had some thin OSB board in the garage and replaced the base and then I just used some construction adhesive to add a small strip of wood along the edge where it lacks adequate support. The bottom line is that I would buy this again but I am disapointed in the company for not fixing this problem that just about every buyer seems to have with it. (I had no problems with the matching headboard and would encourage you to get this item too as it really comes together well.
I got a pair of these and they are awesome.. one of them arrived damaged by the carrier, but s great customer service took care of us and we got a replacement bed in a matter of 2 days.. awesome experience. great beds, nice drawer space.

I have A LOT of pics, which will really help you decide whether to buy... Here are my main points if you dont want the details (details are down below):
1. Service from company is AWESOME. There were a few screws that were missing, so they FedExed them all the way from Canada. Now thats service!
2. The bed is sturdy, and given its for a 5 year old that is 49 lbs, Im sure itll last at least until hes 10.
3. Its not an expensive bed with well rounded corners and rich wood, but at well under $200, its a solid value.
4. I dont like the sharp corners of the drawers, the panel part that protrudes from the bed, but I put 1/8 rubber bumpers on, so they wont hurt my kids if they bump into those panels.
Box: This item is very well insulated and had NO damage of any kind to any of the contents. Tons of foam and 2 layers of cardboard.
Build: The instructions are really good. Youll still need over an hour, but not 2 hours. Instructions are awesome and the items are labeled, so you know which piece is which, not just pics that you have to decipher
Quality of materials: This set is heavy, because the materials are very good for a particle board composition. This is not real wood so if you want a real wood set, this is not your product. But youll also pay double. The holes are perfectly aligned; the fit is really good, there were no dents or scratches; these guys are great manufacturers.
Drawer functionality: Very good, perfect alignment, I mean perfect. Plenty strong to hold a few pounds of clothes in each drawer.
Overall, my kid is very happy. Its solid and even if he jumps up and down, this thing aint gonna break. The boards that lay on top of the frame is 1/2 inch thick, which is not that thick, but the material is so heavy (dense), that I am comfortable standing on it with my 178 lbs.
Tips: Use the tool that is included in the box, which is used to fit right into the gliders, and you hit that part and not the glider itself, so your hammer doesnt dent or break the glider. Tip 2: Included is a small paint bottle, which you can use if you scratch the bed. That is a really nice touch.
I recommend, just watch out for those sharp corners (see pics!) and hopefully youll have as good an experience as I did. Where you see a corner that looks like it was slightly, just slightly damaged or scratched, I did that to make the corner less sharp. The product from the company had no flaws.

The bed is heavy and does include numerous pieces to keep track of and assemble. After it arrived, and I started to assemble it, I discovered that about half the wood pieces were cracked. (Maybe dropped during shipping - has probably experienced complaint this many times. No questions asked except what parts did I need replaced). I got on the phone to Canada, and within about 14 days or so, I had the replacement pieces. They said it is usually quicker except it was over the Easter holiday so we lost about four days. The bed itself is relatively simple to assemble. Just read the instructions and go slow. The three drawers were a bit of a struggle as the screws and screw holes were not perfectly aligned. Plus some of the screws to be inserted close to a another piece of wood so it is a bit awkward to get a good angle. I would say five hours with two people. I think one needs some strength and knowledge of how to put furniture together. It seems sturdy but my teenage girls have not yet used it.
What is wrong with sending extra screws and connectors? They are not the same as are available locally, and they only send the exact amount needed so if you lose one youre screw* . One of the drawers had defective screws, and a plastic connector broke which we glued back together. The drawers a very shallow but work well for storing shoes and PJs. Not able to use them for extra bedding as I had hoped.
