Thank goodness I bought through Prime! The first box came with one piece with missing inserts (to hold one base side with another. I tried calling the manufacturer many times, but no one would answer the phone, nor respond to multiple voice messages. I contacted for a return and repurchase. All went seamlessly. The new unit arrived with all parts functional. I assembled it alone (with the assist of a few throw pillows for support) in about an hour. Because the bottom of the storage is a bit flimsy, I took some leftover hardwood flooring to made a stronger bottom and slid it into place. Looks great in my entryway with the shoe storage I was looking for.
We added this hall tree to our foyer to hold the harnesses and leashes for our 3 dogs and as a place where visitors could hang their coats other belongings.. it’s a very nice looking piece of furniture, fits the space well and the shelf is perfect for adding a seasonal vignette.
Made the entire house smell like paint, laminate was pealing when it showed up. Piece of corner trim must have been jarred in shipment as its hanging and damaged the paint. You get what you pay for.

Took about an hour and a half to build, from unpacking to full finish. If you ever assembled any furniture, itll come together real quick, and especially with power tools. Simple instructions. Fairly easy with one person, except for maybe when putting the stop half on top of the bottom half. Would recommend two people for that part in lining up the tabs into the holes.
The unit was a little smaller than what I was personally looking for, for the space that it was going. Basement remodel and needed something like this, just a tad larger. But honestly no complaints when it comes to the size and quality. Seen a handful of these with cardboard backing where the coat hooks are, and this one is a thin wood.
Overall its a solid unit, and Im very happy with this purchase. Only issue I had, was the screws for the handles on the bottom storage are little too small. After installing, I opened it up and the handle ripped right off. Used slightly longer/thicker and screws and been fine since. Would give it a 9/10.
If you were to buy one like this in a furniture store it would cost at least twice as much, probably three times more. Adds a touch of elegance to the entry way.
this is just what I was hoping for. takes up a LOT less room than the cheap wardrobe we had for hanging coats and holding shoes and hats and gloves before. Now only coats I really use get put on the hooks, and the great bench with two lids holds all the shoes, scarves, and umbrellas I need. Nice looking. A bit difficult to put together, but so glad I got it!

This item is much more sturdy and attractive than I expected. Overall, this is a very good buy.
