Enough strength. The frame was fairly easy to put together. It is very sturdy. I love it! I had been looking for a platform bed for a long time and extremely happy with my purchase.
Updated reviewThis bed is sturdy and I love the finish. The institutions were a little difficult but with someone helping it wasnt impossible to figure out. The bar in the middle was difficult to tighten but we managed. The frame is high enough to provide great storage for shoes, etc.

Doesnt work with a box spring though at all.

Its OK. I will be honest, I was so nervous after reading reviews regarding screws that did not fit or go in all the way. I had NO issues whatsoever. It actually took me longer to hang the lights and canopy. I am so in love with my purchase.
Fantastic Size. I decided to purchase this canopy bed because, I wanted a different feel in the master bedroom of my new home. I also wanted to be budget conscious with my purchase as well. Of course I read the reviews before purchasing, and after a few days of the item sitting in my cart, I finally purchased. The item arrived on time as promised. The bed comes in a long rectangular box, that is heavy, and requires at least 2 adults to lift. The instructions were straight forward, and each piece was labeled according to the instruction manual. It took my mate and I less than and hour to assemble. I am very please with the ending results. Its exactly as pictured online, its also sturdy. Sidebar: I caught my 5 yr old swinging from one of the top bars. As I watched her sway, before scolding her, I noticed that I didnt hear any noises or experience a shift in the bed as she swayed back and forth. I am very please with my purchase, thus far.
