I recieved the table today. The instructions were straightforward and assembly was easy. The unit is very sturdy and nice. There was some damage as seen in the photo. This is surprising because it comes in a ton of protective packaging. Overall I am pleased with the product.
First, this product is generally over built. Although I have experienced cam locks loosening over time on other ready to assemble furniture, these cam locks were the easiest to install Ive ever seen and seem to tighten nicely. The glued dowels also help.
As a preface, I have been a manager in both purchasing and product costing for a furniture manufacturing company. Im also challenged when it comes to actual assembly! Having said that, however, I have put together many, many pieces of ready to assemble furniture over the last 20 years. Im also 61 years old, I have a bad back, rheumatoid arthritis and carpal tunnel. And I still got through it all by myself!
This is a good, solid piece of furniture once assembled and more than worth the price. Beware of the cam bolts however. As someone who used to purchase hardware from a number of national distributors, these are the cheapest parts Ive ever seen. In fact, when they are screwed in even partly, you can actually bend them with your thumb. So dont use too much force and dont over tighten! With the cam bolts that do not have the shoulder on them, once you sink the last turning on the bolt, I would just give it two or three more turns at most. And eyeball all of the bolts on whatever piece you are working on, so that you can gauge approximate equal height.
You will need a couple of different workspaces to assemble this, hopefully a little ways off the floor so that you can save your back. I started out with the top resting onto old dining room chairs, with cardboard underneath it. I eventually assembled the next large piece on the floor, so that I could turn it on its side when needed.
Take your time, rest when you need to and keep track of all the hardware as you go, taking care to put pieces youre not using back in their proper bags. Youll be happy that you did. Cute and
I love everything about this piece, the color and the durability so far. The only complaint I have is the way it was shipped. (I understand that premium shipping may have a premium price). That being said, I had a cracked door and was missing the touch up marker. I have emailed the manufacturer so, well see how that works out. it is very pretty.
Overall a nice piece of furniture for the price. I took one star off because the build quality in some places was a little shoddy. For example, on the side pieces as well as the top, the bolts can screw down too far into the holes, which resulted in them not sticking out far enough for the cam locks to grab a hold to secure the pieces together. I had to unscrew them a bit, which leaves me a little nervous about moving it. Other than that, It looks nice and fits the space well. I was very excited to receive!
This is a very nice buffet/stand. It is very good quality and high end looking. We got the antique wash finish. It is the perfect size, not too big. Actually has more storage than our old that was much bigger. It only took my husband a few hours to build and he didnt complain. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the package of screws to attach the back board was missing. We went to Home Depot to purchase. Very stylish and great quality!
I think this console is great. I knocked a star bc there is chipped paint. It seemed packaged well for shipping so I assume its just the quality of the paint. It was just two small spots (one 1 of 2) so Im hoping those spots dont spread! It took 2 ppl 2 hrs to put the first one together. I put my second one together alone and it took about 2.5. Im not an experienced do/it/yourselfer. Its not hard to assemble! Just read carefully and follow the directions. You want a power drill to screw the screws in or it would take so long. They seem sturdy and Id recommend! SO happy!

Took me almost 3 hrs to put it together by myself, but Im really happy with the purchase. Love, love, love it!
