We bought this bunk bed set for two 4 year olds, around 33 lbs each. Were only planning on them using these beds for 1/2 years so we didnt want to spend a lot. We were looking for bunkbeds online and were expecting to spend about 600/700, but first saw this set for 400 on another site. We then found it half the price on , but the color we wanted was 50 more so we found it on another site in the color we wanted for 199.
This set was super cheap, and I was nervous b/c I kept thinking you get what you paid for but since we were using it for a short period I bought it based on the reviews. I think this set works fine for little kids but it is not very sturdy and I personally would not recommend it for older or heavier kids. When I climb the bed to make the bed (~120 lbs) it does not feel steady and shakes. One time I grabbed the guard rail b/c I lost balance and felt like I could have easily ripped it partially off if my weight fell more in the direction. The distance in height between the 2 beds is short. My kids can sit up on the bottom bunk but older kids and adults can only partially sit up against pillows as one does while reading.
The beds did come with a giant safety sticker across one headboard that required goo gone to remove. It did not remove any finish.
If you have kids that like to jump and be a little rough/or are active like most kids, Id spend more money. Even when one of my kids is getting on the top bunk and he crawls with a little jump the whole bed shakes a little. We just emphasized with our kids no jumping and so far they have listened. Its only been a few weeks. The ladder hurts the bottom of my feet but my kids havent complained.
The beds did smell when we received them. We just aired out the room with opened windows and a ceiling fan for several days when no one was in the room and it went away. The same happened with our nursery furniture which we spent a lot on from a boutique. You could always open the box and let the pieces air out until you are ready to assemble the bed. That may help a little.
My husband assembled the 2 beds separately by himself, but had someone help him stack the beds. It took him a few hours.
We bought 8 mattresses (from ) and they both fit well, even on the top bunk. There is no concern about a small child rolling off the bed.
If you want bunk beds to last many years, spend more money and get something more durable. If you want something short term, these will work.
Pretty good bunk bed. Sturdy. Nice white solid wood. It is a childs bunk bed, so a little on the smaller side. You cant sit on bottom bunk if youre 3 ft or taller. (I have my 4 yr old sleep on bottom and my 10 yr old on top bunk. However, a full sized adult has also slept on bottom bunk and it has held up. There is plenty of room under the bottom bunk for storing and maybe a trundle bed. I also love the curved design and that later these beds can be separated into two single twin beds. Very good buy for the price.
Great bed, though some of the hardware is a bit lacking and the support for the railing (where the child enters the bed), is a bit concerning. The concern is not that the railing will fail quickly and the child will fall, but that over time the two bolts and bracket will be insufficient and the railing will begin to loosen and wobble. But, all in all, the bed is great and the children love their bunks (I purchased two units). The upper bunk is not very high, which leaves little headroom for the lower bunk, but that is both a plus and minus (but a parent can not sit directly on it). The bolts are readily apparent and everywhere, but that is not a large concern / it is clean looking. The supports for the railings are adequate, but not wonderful. You use simple screws to place the four supports (two front and two back), and the locations are not marked (you have to measure, which was not hard, but predrilled holes with a bolt instead of a screw would be better, have both more support and limit operator error.) The beds are easy to construct, but it does take a great deal of time (2 hours each, and I have a great deal of experience with nuts and bolts). I am happy with the beds, and they are certainly worth the money.
Got this for our twins 5 birthday move to big girl beds and room. Just LOVE this, came in three LARGE boxes and was very heavy but the quality was aming for the pric The best part is they break down to single beds when they get olde! Assembly didnt really take too long and the directions were very easy to follow.all around a great dea
Yeah, its a little pricey (well, to me anyway). But the parts are quality, it was easy to put together (about 1.5 hours taking my time) and it is very sturdy. Its also very quiet / not at all like the circa 1970 squeaky beds. The kids love it.
Our two girls have been using this bunk bed for over a year now. I recently went through with my cordless drill/driver with the clutch set at a low torque setting and snugged up all of the screws again and it is just as rock solid as it was the day we put it up.
We had some wear on the wood where the ladder attaches to the frame, but I added some of the felt discs that you put on the bottom of chair legs for hardwood flooring and it helped a bunch.
This is a great looking bunk bed, is a great price, and it even shipped free
Very happy with the quality to value ratio of this product. The beds are a little shaky and probably couldnt withstand jumping/fighting or whatever else little kids do on the regular basis. Bought this for a vacation home where use is minimal. Would not recommend for a bunk room where young adults might stay. Definite weight limit.
I am 57 at 120 lbs and heard a crack when climbing up to make the beds.
My daughters love this bed, and it is head and shoulders above other beds in its price range. Super sturdy. However, I would recommend getting a 6 inch mattress for the top bunk.

Stinky
Nice bed, but has a faint smell to it
Attractive and good bed for the price.

Good bunk beds for a good price
Good bunk beds for a good pric I have them apart. My boys are too young to put them together.
