Cheap particle board but it seems to be holding up with a lot of books, for now at least. One side of the stand has a noticeable scratch since it was not packaged adequately. Pay close attention to the instruction manual. Some pieces have to be oriented a specific way and it is hard to tell from their instructions.
I was worried that the price was too good to be true, but the reviews swayed my to try it out. So glad that I did / this was a HEAVY box, but once the piece is assembled its not that heavy to move on ones own. It took a while to put together, but the instructions are easy to follow and the tools were carefully wrapped so no parts were missing. Styrofoam EVERYWHERE though / get ready for a good vacuuming after. I would suggest keeping pets in another room until its built and the styrofoam cleaned up, because it was definitely a bit of a mess to get out of the box. But during the build, the wood never once got scratched from the tools or shifting. The paint is very nice and sturdy, and the pack comes with nice stickers to cover any screws after. All in all, its really nice and exceeded my expectations. Very happy with it.
The assembly was decent, but the allen wrench situation leaves much to be desired. That was the worst part. The Styrofoam inside the box was a little over the top. It went everywhere. I do enjoy my stand now that it is assembled and in place. It does the job and doesnt not take up unneeded space.
I was very nervous about purchasing furniture without actually seeing it in person, but I am very happy that I took the chance. Very heavy wood and great quality. It was very heavy to get inside when it was delivered which was the only downside. LOVE IT!
First, this product is very well priced so I wasnt expecting perfection. The instruction are just plain bad and in the end I had to drill a few holes myself that should have been there and I used a lot of gurella glue and liquid nails as the joints worth otherwise weak. You can get a fairly decent tv stand/entertainment center out of this but youll have to put a good amount of work into putting it together.
