havent slept on it yet as this is for the guest room and am awaiting for the mattress. However, it seems that I will need to place a .25 inch of plywood on top as I do not have a box spring and it will be only a 12 thick memory foam mattress / the rods across the frame are round and it seems it would indent the mattress.
I just want to give a tip to those who have posted a review on the difficulty of aligning screws and holes. Follow the first instruction /DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS UNTIL THE END. Thats it. It was assembled in less than 30 minutes by one person and everything aligned.
I will be posting some more as it is used.
Will check on the squeaky complain.
When I first open the box I was concern that it was not durable but, after me and my daughter put it together, we were so impressed. The quality and stability of the bed, I could not have more happier. It reminds me of when I had my first iron bed. My daughter just loves it. What a great birthday present.
I wanted a daybed with trundle for my guest room. This was perfect! It was such a great price. I put it together by myself and it took a few hours to finish it on my own. It has a lot of little pieces to hold the bars in and thats what took so long. Anyways it looks great and I cant wait for guests to use it.
