It arrived in good condition so easy to put it together i am a thirteen year old girl and i put this bed together completely by myself. it was very easy to assemble. the wood was really nice but the drawers were made of press board.in the picture leads you to believe that the bed has three drawers on each side but it only has two on each side. the storage is nice and its very modern and pretty. Im happy with my purchase.
Beautiful and easy to assemble Weve had this bed at least a year and I am still very happy with the product. Couldve been a little easier to put together—not the most precise manufacturing—but also not something you notice or ever think about again. The quality of the material seemed great—real wood. No sagging, so creaking. No problems! I picked it because of the tapered legs and amazing price for a king bed. I have a hard time telling whether its a dark brown or black so I think it works in bedrooms with both color schemes...Espresso, therefore, is a very accurate color description.

It delivered on a truck and unfortuantely, the carrier needed me to be present for the delivery. That caused some complications but I was able to work it out with the carrier as I work full time some distance from home. The platform does extend around the outside of the bed which wasnt quite evident in the picture. I liked the bed much better after I learned not to walk into the wooden frame!! Youll love the look and quality of this product.
We are more than satisfied. Love it I was able to unpack put this together in 2 hours on my own (my only warning for doing this solo is that if you are trying to put your box springs on the bed after assembly, make sure you have assistance to lift place them or you will probably scrape the finish off the wood if you attempt to slide them into position). Anyway - there was only 1 screw fitting that didnt fit and it was a minor spot so Im not worried about it. The drawers are well made slide easily in/out of the bed. It is elegant and QUIET.

Great product at great price My husband and I wanted a bed that didnt require a box spring and was a darker wood, so we chose this. We LOVE this bed. It is relatively easy to put together and is very sturdy and well made. The four storage drawers underneath are a nice bonus. Definitely recommend.
Comfortable, and looks nice too. I ordered this to replace a cal king platform bed - wanted something a bit shorter and wider.. it is great quality - this would go for double the price in a nice furniture showroom.. it is HEAVY (which is a good thing) and took about 20-30 minutes to build.
Overall very happy with my purchase! We were a little uncertain of the platform style, but it is so sleek! We upgraded to a king size from a queen and were worried about it overtaking our bedroom, but because this has such clean lines and sits lower, it wasnt an issue at all. This bed is also much sturdier than it looks. Great purchase. Awesome price.
great for the low price I added a layer of 1/4 pegboard on top of the slats. The holes in the pegboard allow the mattress to still breathe while giving better support than the slats. If youre mattress has individual pocket coils, you definitely need a better foundation than just the slats. Do what I did and use some cheap pegboard.
Also, I dabbed a little thread locker onto the bolts before tightening everything together.
Easy to assemble, light smell The bed is very pretty....bigger than it looks in the picture. The headboard will seem huge unless you get European pilloss so its not all just headboard. I got an extra high mattress and so it works well. I just feel VERY high up in the air and have to get used to that. Inf fact, had to even buy a stepstool. But very pretty.
Appropriate for the price I purchased this bed after much research. First, I like the dimesions and look of the bed. It is just about exactly the size they say. The bed does not sit much higher than any other platform bed, with the siderails and footboard at 14.25 high and the mattress sitting about 3 under that. It is very sturdy and VERY easy to assemble-took about an hour and that was taking my time. I was concerned about the middle support from what I read, but it is very solid with the 4 support legs-anybody who only got two should get the rest. I do wish the middle beam ran the entire length of the bed, but it is about 4 inches short of the footboard and headboard-not a huge deal. I was disappointed that it stated it is made of solid wood with veneers, but it has very little actual solid wood. The head and footboard appear to have thick veneers, but the siderails are plywood covered with very thin veneer that could peel easily. One of the rails arrived slightly damaged on one end where the plywood was smushed and the veneer was peeled a little. The packaging for the head and footboards are very good, but the siderails were not protected enough on the ends for me. We decided to keep it as it is hidden in our bedroom pretty easily, but I will be contacting customer service to see what credit we can get.
2/21/11 update:
After contacting Cymax I was VERY impressed with their service. They asked for a pics of the damage and then immediately had send us some new siderails. When the new siderails arrived they, to, were damaged. This time worse than before. There was a 2 gouge in one rail that was painted or markered over at the factory. Let me be clear-this was not damaged during shipping or it would not have been covered up. This was noticed at the factory and they still shipped it out. Very poor quality control. There was also, still, no packaging around the wood-just a layer of cardboard and the wood rails even rub against eachother inside the box. I contacted Cymax again and, again, they were quick to help out. They even offered us a discount for the trouble. They had a number of conversations with furniture and had another set of rails sent to us with the s assurance they would be packaged better. Well the third set arrived and, again, had more dings-although this time not nearly as bad. After contacting Cymax they offer to try and send more or refund the bed. We chose to just keep what we had and get the refund as it appears is incapable of packaging these properly.
I give furniture only 2 stars at this point, but Cymax gets a 5 in my book for their excellent customer service and attention to the concerns of the customer.
