Thi bed frame is really fantastic!! It is exactly as pictured Its solid wood and strong as all out but at the same time not to heavy. I built it really fast, with no help. I read reviews that some people took them two hours or a little more, but I did it in an hour, twenty minutes. Taking into consideration that Im a petite girl thats not to bad.The shipping was also really quick, expectancy was for July 3rd and it arrived I believe June 25th... All in all a really great frame for the price fully recommended!!
I havent had this product long enough to give it a 5? review, but if this bed holds up a year or more, you bet Ill be back and add that extra star. Shipping was estimated to take weeks, but it showed up at my door in perfect condition and with all parts barely 3 days after I ordered it. Assembly was easy, but an extra set of hands is helpful. When putting it together, I did take the extra step to add locktite threadlocker to all of the bolts. I added a bit of gorilla glue to the holes that the wooden dowels get inserted into. Ive only had it a couple days, but Ive tested out the weight limit by piling on my mom and all my kids into the bed, and it didnt even creak like it was straining the wooden slats (well over 600 lbs). Also, with the mattress on it, I stood on it to hang some pictures above the bed, and no wobbling, no creaking, it didnt collapse. For the two nights Ive spent on it so far, I can say its been super quiet (and Im one that tosses and turns throughout the night). Also, it hasnt caused a backache yet. I was a little worried that the mattress would slide around because it sits on top of the frame instead of inside it, but it stays put even with me rolling around on it. As long as the bed holds up for awhile, Id say that it seems like a strong, supportive, quality bed and well worth the money (also quite nice looking if youre going for that bohemian or minimalist sort of look). Five stars if I get a years use out of it. It sure seems like it will hold up! So far, Im very happy with this purchase!
Oh man, I am so so disappointed in this bed frame. I wanted to like it so bad, especially since its a style I was looking for in my price range (saw one on UO but it was triple the price). After reading all the reviews I thought I had hit the jackpot. Now Im convinced the 5 star reviews were paid for because Im pretty sure everyone is lying. First of all this bed makes noise. It creaks. LOUD. PERIOD. I attached a video of me sitting on it and rolling around for proof. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise. It also slides around way too much on hardwood floors.
Second, putting it together was stressful. It wasnt difficult because there arent that many pieces, but it took a really long time because I had to take the whole thing apart a few times since the screws were not screwing into their holes correctly. One screw kept pushing out the board it was attaching to instead of screwing into it, even though it was in the hole. I had to switch boards and then it finally worked. Also I highly recommend not prematurely tightening the screws until you have the whole bed assembled.
The reason Im not giving it 1 star is because the bed frame IS beautiful. I bet if it was on carpet it would help with the sliding issue. I highly question the durability because it creaks like crazy. As for the creak - sorry but I dont think anything can be done to prevent that. If youre looking to partake in vigorous night time activities in stealth, this is not the bed for you. If you want that boho chic plant mama bedroom look on a budget and dont care about anything else then I guess buy this bed.
Update: have had this for a year and a half now and still LOVE it. Zero issues and still as sturdy as the day I put it together! Still recommend
Only slept on this a week now but I seriously love this frame! Real wood, sturdy, perfect height, color is as pictured, no creaking, and I was able to put together within one episode of The Office.. seriously, easier than even an frame sidenote: will say, I have a lot of experience putting together this type of furniture from a past job, so maybe it was easier for me, but its only 4 legs and 4 frame boards...and my 5 year old helped... not exactly difficult like others have said My only issue is the center support bar.. it looks as if it COULD break at some point because the metal is a little cheap and thin, but it could also be great. Will definitely update if its an issue.
Also, I shopped for a king size frame for my husband and I for over 6 months but they all seemed cheap and temporary. I took a chance on this even though it only had a few reviews and Im glad I did - esp for the price :)
Good buy and cheaper than target Love this frame. Very self-build friendly, fun to put together and shipping was super fast! It took me maybe an hour to build myself and it is so perfect for my boheme themed room. Wish they had a matching nightstand and desk as well!
