It wasnt until I unpacked everything did I realize that it was damaged. It wasnt bad enough to box up and send back. If you box looks damaged send it back.
Easy to put together, even by my non/handy husband. It took him a couple hours and some swearing. My daughter loves it and we havent had a problem with it at all. Bed board is very strong. Ive jumped on it, my husband has jumped on it and our daughter continues to jump on it. We havent had a single problem with it. Great for small spaces.
The bed arrived in good condition and the directions were fairly clear. It ould have been easaier to follow them if they shown the wrong side of each piece in a shaded colour and labeled the hardware.
Overall I am pleased with the strength of the bed. Love these.
Everything came without scratches. I was missing one dowel for the bed portion but had extras in the other boxes. Plan out an afternoon for assembly. Took about 5 hours to put together. Fantastic Size.
Love this bed design, makes my daughters tiny bedroom much more workable and have the appearance of having more space than it truly does. The dark color looks exactly like the picture! The bed even came early when it was shipped!! And while I love the bed.there are a few things I was disappointed about, such as the sturdiness.
Its easier to damage/break than I was expecting of a wooden bed frame. The guard rail is super thin and the dark brown color wood vaneer can be scraped off very easily.(was so mad seeing that my 8yr old was able to do so) the desk under the bed was a little tricky as we werent given a set of screws and had to run to Home Depot to get the missing screws. The stop pegs that sit in the frame to keep the desk from going to far back into the frame are simple soft wood pegs that break really easily.
The only reason we had as easy of a time getting it put together was because my in/law came by to help and he used to work at a furniture store as an merchandiser (he put the furniture together in/store) yet it still took three adults to get it assembled.
Even once done putting it together and all set up, I wouldnt recommend letting more than two kids up on the bed at a time and maybe Im just a worry wart, but all the wooden planks are thin! Not even half the dimensions of a 2x4.even thought we screwed them all in and down, the bed frame shakes a LOT when the kid climbs into bed at night!!!!
All in all, you get what you paid for, a cheap bed off instead of going to a furniture store. Fantastic and Sturdy.

Good bed in helping to save space in a tiny room. Only thing I didnt like was there was no numbers on the pieces itself, so it was at times a little confusing putting pieces together, had the pieces been numbered it definitely would of made putting the bed together a lot easier and faster. Aside from that my daughter really likes it! Enjoyed it.
The color is definitely not a , its cherry wood colored definitely.
Wish I had gone with something else. Definitely will regret this purchase for a long time to come.

Okay bed.not great, but not bad
