This is a really great bed for the price point. It is solid wood where it counts and nice looking. Easy enough to assemble but took two at a certain point but not a big deal. Cute and good quality
Seems very sturdy with one exception. One of the rails that hold the desk to the bed broke and gluing doesnt work. I have been unable to find out if I can replace that one part. Otherwise it seems sturdy. It took about six hours to put together but instructions were easy to follow. Despite the one problem, my daughter loves it. I have to say Im pretty disappointed so far.
After putting together a dresser from a different company, I can say with confidence that the assembly for this item is great. Easy to follow, understand, and most importantly all of the screw holes are pre/drilled and it didnt break in half during assembly. study and arrived as pictured!
I just finish assembling this bed. It took me a couple of afternoons to put it together. Some hardware pieces were missing, so I ran to my local hardware store and picked it up. I did not want to go through the channel if customer service.
It was not easy to build, pieces were not labled. I had to look at pictures in the manual to figure out which is which. Hard ware came in four packs and they were labeled, but labeling was confusing and in some cases inaccurate, so you have to make sense of which is which.
We bought an 18in mattress and it leaves a few inching for the rail. For younger kids I recommend a 10in mattress .
My 11 yo loved it. It is definitely a space saver. She loved the hiding/reading corner Under the bed.
The only thing I do not like is that it can go in one direction. You can not put the ladder on the left for example Great Buy
Very well made for the price. All parts accurately cut and drilled, hardware is good quality, the finish seems durable. Assembly took some time (there are a lot of pieces) but was not difficult. It really takes two people for the bedframe, but the desk, dresser and shelf can be managed by one person. Make sure to double check where the pre/drilled holes are at each step, especially on the bed frame, or you can end up with the holes in the wrong places for subsequent steps. Very pleased with this purchase
We love this bed!
It took us two evenings to put together completely due to busy schedules but it was not difficult. My four year old daughter absolutely loves this bed. It is strong and sturdy and I am not uncomfortable getting up there with my daughter and laying with her, etc. She loves pulling the desk out and crawling and playing underneath. I took the suggestions of other reviewers and put bins in the desk for even more storage. I am very happy with this purchase! Very happy with product
Bought this bed for my kid in Feb 2018. Assembly was pretty easy as my husband and I were able to do it with him sitting on the floor the whole time due to a broken ankle. Material is mediocre. Found out right away that the bed wobbles when the kiddo climbs in and out so since it was against the corner of the room we stuck square pieces of rubber like tape (for lack of a better description) over all the screws and bolts etc so it wouldnt gouge up the walls. Seems to do the trick. Having had it a year and a half now we have had to fix the railing on the front several times as it tends to come apart after a while. Also the ladder has come loose several times and we have had to fix that. Knobs on the dresser drawers have continued to come off and we have to reattach them. And my whole idea about the underneath being a cool fort has just turned into a place where stuff gets stashed and piled. So while I do still think its a cool concept for a bed it just isnt working for us anymore after a year and a half. The kid is tired of climbing up and down now and its not very sturdy or solid enough for being designated as a kids bed. I cant see this bed lasting very long as its already pretty rickety. Pretty sure we will be going back to the other kind of bed which was a pedestal bed with drawers underneath. That one didnt wobble and bang into the walls. Its an okayish good product.
