The cons/ it wasnt easy to put it together. The two of us struggled for at least 1hr. A few screws were not going in. The small wooden insert broke off of one of the foot, but it didnt affect the chair.
The pros / its a nice design; good colors; firm; pretty small but enough to fit a good size adult; not too heavy.
Overall, taking a star off for difficulty in putting together.
Ive owned a swivel glider it broke 1.5 year after, so I went with this simple rocker. Hoping it lasts! My son loves it!
My husband and I did a ton of research on choosing a chair for our nursery. I normally do not take the time to write a review, but since I found myself reading every single review on each chair we were selecting, I thought I would take the time to review.
Pros:
/mid century modern look of the chair/ does not look like a nursery rocker/ love the gray color and walnut color of wood
/price point / similar chair on other websites were close to 1,000
/the arms seem like the correct height for nursing a baby (we are due in March so havent officially tested it out yet)
/I like how firm the chair is/ if you are looking for a chair to really sink into this chair is not for you, but I prefer a firmer chair.
/I am 52 and my head rests comfortably on the back of the chair and my feet touch the floor/ some of the chairs I tested out my feet did not touch the floor.
/The rocker rocks nicely on our hardwood floors and has protective felt in the bottom of the rockers.
Cons:
/My husband was able to assemble this chair in about one hour. He is very good with directions and said that some of the directions were not that clear. The main one being the brass nuts that you are supposed to put into the wood part of the rocker (the very first step) were hard to get into the too small pre/drilled holes. He had to use a rubber mallet to hammer them in and then figured out they were supposed to go all the way down into the holes, which is not clear on the directions. He said if he had put them in the wrong way they would have been impossible to get out. Good Product.
I had a really positive experience with both this supplier and product. I ordered this before Christmas and it suddenly kept saying delayed. I contacted the seller and they responded within a couple of hours saying they spoke to the carrier and the package was lost. They offered replacing or refunding and I still wanted it so they rushed out a new one. Like other reviews said, the wood and are darker than the picture. However the wood matches our other furniture better so I dont mind, its still really pretty. If you are looking for a lighter color wood this wont be it. It is also super comfortable. It was pretty quick and easy to put together. Overall it was fast but the back piece was really hard to get on, but once it was on it is great. Overall very happy with this product and in my opinion it is really nice quality for the price. Perfect.
So far so good! My husband just put this chair together and we live the size. Its compact yet the seat is big enough for my husband as Im petite and 5 feet. The cushions are nice and firm and I can reach the floor with my toes so Ill be getting a pillow for extra comfort. Easy set up.
This chair is comfortable, quality thus far seems great. I love that it can be used for a nursery and repurposed for a furniture piece after as it is stylish. I only wish the color in person was as pictured. The cloth is a dark gray with blue undertone and the wood is dark wood. I was drawn to the color on the photo and disappointed when in person it was different. I will be keeping it for my boys room, maybe the dark wont be as bad since itll be for their use. Quality could be improved.
This is a revised review. When I first put this chair together I put the bottom on incorrectly and gave a bad review for comfort. Now that I have reinstalled in its great. Comfortable and rests at a nice angle. It was easy.
Beautiful/great chair for the money! Bought for sons nursery and absolutely love it. Color is a little darker than pictured, but I like it even better. works great.
