I was pretty skeptical about the chair when I purchased it. However it really is the most comfortable chair I have sat in. I bought a $20 pair of arm rest pads to go with it, and upgraded the wheels with a 39.99 set of office oasis wheels since I have wood flooring and dont like using floor mats.
I had a few people sit in it and they all agreed it is extremely comfortable.
Shipping was good, arrived in perfect condition fully assembled.
Honestly I dont know what to say aside from the advertisements for it are true. The reviews online are true. It is really the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. I love that it is so adjustable. It can be super low to ground or super high almost like a stool. The cushion is amazing super soft.
I will update this review in a few months and let people know if I still feel the same way. But right now it is amazing. If this is within your budget I highly recommend it.

This is an expensive chair, and also the most comfortable computer chair I have ever sat in. People ask me how it is, and the best way for me to explain it is that I can sit for 14+ hours and not feel like I was sitting. It came assembled and was super easy to get out of the box and in front of my desk. If you are thinking about investing in a chair, you wont be sorry with this one!
This chair is simply the best home office chair Ive ever owned. Worth the price and the service was fantastic. The chair is extremely well-made and comes fully assembled -- none of this do it yourself crap that some manufacturers give you. And I was sent the wrong color initially but the return process was painless and immediate. A correct color chair arrived within days and I could have scheduled a pick-up of the incorrect item (opted to do self-drop-off which is a lesson in idiocy on my part.) The overall chair construction is excellent, the seat base is the most comfortable Ive ever encountered. And its adjustable to every possible need. I cant say enough about it. rules!
I used the chair all day, right out of the box, and I lOVE it! shipping took SEVEN DAYS. It was supposed to be Prime, so yet ANOTHER time where the yearly prime charge is not saving me any time or money.
I used this for my desk chair at work and absolutely love it! Im 29, I like to sit in postures that some consider odd but in reality I just like to work and lounge at the same time. This chair does it all. I can sit like everyone else or sit the way that I feel comfortable.
Extremely disappointed. First off, let me say that the chair is very solidly built; they clearly use quality parts. I finally convinced myself to spend extra money on an office chair because I am at my computer for most of my spare time, and I spend $100-200 at Staples every couple of years to replace the cheap office chairs I buy. I figured with a price tag of nearly $1000, this chair must be near perfection. I also read reviews, all of which praised this chair. Unfortunately, for me, it just ended up being extremely uncomfortable. The Gesture just doesnt have enough padding for my butt to remain comfortable for more than 5 minutes. Sure, I could spend money on additional padding, but why; I already spent over $1000. Another issue is that the right side arm rest, at its max height, was almost 1 lower than the left side. That is just unacceptable for a $1000 chair.
Im actually writing this review while sitting in the raggedy, beat up, uneven piece of junk Staples chair that I was hoping to replace... and you know what? Im comfortable. I cannot recommend anyone spend more than $500 on this chair - and that $500 price is simply for the quality parts. I highly suggest you find a showroom and test out this chair (or any high priced furniture) before purchasing; unfortunately, there are none near me.
I guess Ill stick to my old routine of picking up a new, cheap office chair every 1-2 years. Oh well. Thankfully is great when it comes to returns.
I had a Leap chair V2 for 10 years and gave it to my wife to use at her office. The Gesture was expected to be an upgrade as I bought it, I spend very long hours sitting at work and at the PC at home. Reviews of the Gesture are outstanding for diverse sitting positions. In any case both my wife and I are getting older and have a few back issues, and we both need good quality/supportive chairs. She loves the Leap so its hers now. If I had not already enjoyed the great support and comfort of the Leap chair for years, I think I would be much more impressed with the Gesture. The Leap chair is that good even after all these years. The Gesture looks more high tech and modern while the Leap is more of a boring generic look, but I think in some ways the Leap chair is more comfortable for normal sitting. The Gesture is comfortable and supportive and as advertised it shines when you want to lean back in the chair (very smooth and supportive when doing this, one thing I think it is better at than the leap). Also the Gesture arm adjustability is superior. I think its a great chair... but two things, I think the padding is a tad more comfortable in the Leap chair in the back and seat. Not to say the Gesture is not comfortable, it is. Also sometimes I almost feel like the Gesture seat bottom feels like it is tilted forward like I am sliding out of it. Just slightly. But this may simply be that after ten years in the Leap chair I have bonded with it - and after more time in the Gesture I will not even remember a difference. The arms on the Gesture are a stiffer surface and they tilt outward just a little and can make my arms almost slip off, which sometimes annoys me - as I was used to the solidly level feel of the arms on the Leap. Probably they are designed that way for a reason that I have not discovered yet. But I will say this, when I dont really focus on the differences and just use the Gesture chair, it just WORKS. It is intuitive and very easy to sit in different ways. I had to work 20 hours straight earlier this week, spent it all in the Gesture chair, and not a single complaint on how my back felt afterward or anything else. Including the fact that I never felt overheated in the chair (cloth version). Which ultimately I think is a pretty good test. And having done the same in the Leap many times it also passes that test. Which would I say is better? Its hard to say, the Gesture wins in the highly and easily adjustable arms, and smooth and supportive leaning back. The Leap feel just a tiny bit more padded in the back and seat. If forced I would say the Gesture is an improvement but not in every aspect.
Im still testing out the chair but do really like it. Just not 5 stars like it yet. I will say it took some setup to get it to a comfortable setting. It has improved my posture which is a plus. If anything majorly changes after 6 months Ill update this to reflect it.

You will never want another office chair

Leap chair compared to Gesture - owners perspective
