    Assembly instructions are lacking

I normally dont submit reviews on purchases, but this time I am because I believe I can help others who follow in my footsteps. I purchased 2 of these rockers and have received one. I assembled it and am very pleased with the final product. However, there are 2 issues with the assembly instructions you may want to think about. First, the package supplies screws in 2 lengths with allen heads. Allen drivers are supplied. These screws are used to attach one piece to another. The screw is inserted into a piece with a larger pre/drilled hole. The other piece has a smaller pre/drilled hole so the screw can bite into it. The problem is without any lubricant, you can easily strip the screw head (as I did on the first one), especially if using a drill. I then dug deep into my shop class memories of 1957 and scraped the screw threads against a bar of soap. Then, I drove the screw into the smaller hole with the hand tool and removed it. After that, it was easy to attach the 2 pieces together. The second caution is something Im going to do when I receive the second chair. Im going to make step 1 of the assembly the final step instead, This step is attaching the curved rocker bars to the bottom of the chair. I see no reason to attach them first thereby creating unstable base(s) for the remainder of the assembly. These pieces are not required for any other step of the assembly. Good luck.

    outdoor rocker

nice sturdy chair just a little small for me

Looks great, assembly difficult, screws cheap, awesome color, perfect size.

Beautiful chair. Super sturdy and heavy, great color! Whats more, the size is a big relief after reading that the chair was small on other reviews. Its actually a little big for me (5ft 4) And looked right sized for my (5ft 11)spouse. The seat width was generous as well, for our frames. Assembly wasnt easy, Ill be honest. A difficult task due to the necessity of screwing in one side of the chair first while needing to support all the pieces dangling in the air. You need not only many more hands than most humans come equipped with, but you need to hold heavy pieces at awkward angles while simultaneously screwing down an easily stripped long screw from the other side with a hex bit. Its certainly do/able though if youre creative propping pieces up and nimble enough to screw them down at weird angles. What made the task much harder was that the seat as assembled did not fit into the grooves in the frame so it could not fit in the slots it needed to go into to secure it without using a Philips driver to loosen parts of the seat and retighten them after assembly. You can see examples of people who had other parts that didnt align with the assembly grooves, so the issue wasnt unique to my lemon rocker. Fortunately the grooves were the correct sizes, just the seat depth was half a cm short to fit depth wise in the frame. My almost 20 year old son helped me, and since he knows everything about every subject, it took approximately twice as long to figure out a solution than it would have if Id been alone. During this process, we discovered the arm screws arrived totally stripped from the factory, thanks to really cheap screws that strip with very little provocation. In the end, we have a really great looking chair and it looks adorable on the porch. The only parts we had trouble with were the ones that arrived pre assembled. Does it look like wood? No. Its obviously a plastic chair. Does it look high quality and reflect the high price point? Also no, thanks to the prominent hex screw heads everywhere that make it look like an piece. It feels sturdy though, and I think It will last a long time. Ill probably try to cover the screw heads with some kind of cap or something because theyre glaring, but the color is fantastic and it looks adorable. Requires a pillow or cushion, in my opinion. Suggestions to company: replace your screws with higher quality screws, check in factory for preassembled piece fit because the quality control expectations for such an expensive chair arent unreasonable, cap those ugly screws or something Because the finish and appearance are dragged down by the look of the prominent large hex screw heads. Overall a great chair and fabulous color but looks much cheaper than it really was.

    Comfortable

You do need someone to help hold the pieces for assembly, but we put both together in about half an hour. They are very comfortable.

    Exceeded our expectations!

Exceeded our expectations! We were very impressed with how easy this rocker was to assemble. Be aware that it is a 1.5 person job unless you have extra hands for balance, etc. Instructions were clear, all parts were there. The screws are long and stainless. A tool is provided to tighten the screws, so you dont need anything else for assembly. It is a straight back chair with no back curve, but it is fine for a porch. Now if we could just order up some nice weather wed be able to use it!

    Trouble free and comfortable

These rockers are perfect for condo balcony in KC,MO. They stay outside all winter. They are not awkwardly large but accommodate me and friends nicely.

Great purchase. I ordered a second.

This was a great purchase for a new patio. The color is great. This is a solid chair. It is not flimsy, and at 65 and 280 it feels solid. My wife loves them and I got them with her in mind.
