Two heads are better than one!

Works very nicely in my vacation rental, looks clean and goes great in the bedroom, easier to put together with two people, more tedious than difficult, but my daughter figured out a system of banging the last pieces in that everyone is complaining about. That was the most frustrating, but it is a nice bed for the price.

    This bed is pretty good.

We have had this bed for about 8 months. It wasn't that hard to assemble, but it did take some time; there are a lot of individual pieces to put together. It is very sturdy. My kids climb up and down with no shaking or wobbling of the bed. The bookshelf is great as a space saver in a small bedroom. I haven't used the desk - I mainly chose this for the extra shelves. Im sure the desk is fine though. I knocked off one star because a little bit of the white paint is chipping off in some places and that is annoying. Overall though, it's a good bed - especially for the price.

Good bed, Great Company - Walker Edison!

Great sturdy bed. It took about 2 hours to put together but it is worth it. My son used this bed for 3 years and it's held up very well. Never any issues. The ladder isnt great and tends to hurt bare feet but if you have another ladder or pad the rungs it's fine. (We used the swim noodles and cut them to fit. Worked great!) I had misplaced the instructions and emailed Walker Edison Customer Service simply asking for the "Assembly Instructions for the Metal Loft Bed with Desk" and within 5 minutes, Amanda emailed me both versions (with & without desk) of instructions. I was shocked at how fast and accurate their response was. I'd give Walker Edison 10 stars if they had that option to review them! :)

About 6" lower than another futon bunk bed we have ---

This bed has a high metal "cage" surrounding the upper bunk, which is good. The entire bed is about 6" lower than another futon bunk bed that we have. I would prefer that it be higher, because adults may have to "duck" when getting out of the futon sofa. It also sits lower to the floor, which means less under-bed storage. Our other futon bunk bed has unobstructed 10.5" clearance below the futon, which means we can easily put a trundle bed or storage under it. Most of these bunk beds will move if the person above moves around a lot, but the bed is not in danger of collapsing. Assembly is not for the faint-of-heart, but my 15 year old son put it together in about 3 hours. One nice thing is that there is a ladder on BOTH ends of the bed, so if you move it, there is still a ladder at the end of the bed! Most bunk beds have only one ladder. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

    Great bed

Solid bed, perfect for my 5 year old, contents jostled in shipping and I couldn't find the ladder rungs until starting to assemble the bed. They had slipped into the plastic bags holding the headboards, all the little black tubes looked alike until I opened the bag and they fell out. Everything was shipped in the box ready to assemble. Only real difficulty - the little plastic snaps that fill the space above the frame slats to hold the mattress - those are a pain to install. Not exactly something you can skip, and once in you likely can't get them out again. I assembled bed in the room, when we move I'll just break the bed down into two twins, turn them sideways and carry them out of the room as individual units. I don't think I ever want to deal with those clips again!

    Cost is the only problem!

Cost is the only problem! this fit nicely under our twin bed. seems sturdy so far, wheel connection much better than the rounded option we previously bought on .

    So far so good.

Free shipping on an item that weighs over a hundred pounds is awesome. Just got the bed yesterday, so we've only slept on it for one night. So far I can say it takes a few hours to assemble, and it doesn't squeak or wake the other person up when you get in or our of it. It seems to have a little bit of give when you move your whole body in it (as an adult) but it doesn't make any noise when this happens. The cross beams that hold the mattresses up also seem pretty strong and able to hold a lot of weight. So far a great purchase.

Worked for what I purchased it for; well made.

All the parts were present in the packaging; which was good. There were no dents, scrapes, bends, or missing pieces. Purchased this for my two of my daughters. My oldest daughter put it together with one of her friends. They needed a little help with the mattress support gap filling plastic pieces (they are stiff to insert after the supports). The whole thing went together with a couple of allen-wrenches (provided). Sturdy enough for my two girls. Light, so can be easily moved. Even with the mattresses on the bed, it was still easily moved.

    Nice, sturdy loft bed

This is a nice sturdy bed. Our son loves it for his room and he is an adult. He weighs about 125 lbs and is about 5'7" tall. So he isn't a large person but finds the bed comfortable and sturdy enough for his weight and height. And he loves having a desk and easy chair under the bed so he has room for those things in a small bedroom. The one complaint and the only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating would be the ladder placement and the rungs hurt his feet when he climbs up. Wish there was an option to place the ladder in the front or over to the other side but it is just how it looks in the picture.

    Works as intended.

Pleased with quality and price. Took a long time to assemble. Mattress was slightly bigger than frame, but we made it work.
