After spending 90 minutes to assemble the bed, I found a mistake in my purchase decision. The side ladder does not have an opening at top so my 9 year old had trouble climb over the top side fence to get into the bed. Will keep the bed for now. Did not install the long side rail and added a bed protector to prevent my son from falling off. Then added a 4-step ladder ($90) for get into the bed.
I love this bed. It shipped and got to my house a few days earlier than expected which was nice. It took me 2 and a half hours to put together on my own. The directions were very clear and easy to follow! I just ordered another one for my other daughter!

Giving only 4 stars since the explanation for drilling the desk board on the bed was not well explained, resulting into 4 holes now in the desk .

It is my granddaughter's dream. She put up lights and ivy and built her own little secret creativity haven. The added space for her is welcome. She is 12 and helped me put it together which was an added bonus.
It's pretty sturdy and it's tall so there's a lot of space underneath. My husband built it by himself for my son, except my son was too scared to be on it because of how high it was so we have to return it unfortunately LOL.
Very pleased with the quality. Everything went together well. The instructions could've been a bit more helpful, but they were not bad enough to warrant a star deduction. If I ever need another bunk bed I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again.

Wobbly. My son is afraid to sleep in it because it wobbles so much. Definitely top heavy. Too hard to take back apart and rebox or I would return it.

Decent for the price
There were no instructions in the box which was a huge disappointment we had to figure it out ourselves and took way too much time.
