My room is just about big enough to fit a bed and a dresser, and I wanted to have room for a desk for school. This is great for saving space. It is slightly shaky, though not to the extent that I'm worried about its sturdiness (for reference I'm about 110-120 pounds). The bars to climb up got a bit painful after a week of climbing them so I covered them with pipe insulation and it solved that problem. I assembled it completely alone with no issues, except there was one spot where the hole for the screw wasn't threaded but thankfully it was for the ladder that I'm not climbing on so it doesn't matter. Assembly took me about 3 hours.
Very easy to assemble and very sturdy. Only thing I would suggest to a buyer is get some foam for the ladder because they aren't a little uncomfortable. My 70lb daughter doesn't complain much but asked if they made anything to cover the metal. Otherwise she loves her new bed!
This is a nice Bunk bed, it has a large table which is very good specially for kids that leave everything around. I'm giving 4 starts because it was really hard to assemble. I've read several reviews before.. I was 4 months pregnant so I couldn't do it alone, my 8 years son helped and my husband had to help as well. The instructions were good, everything was labeled but it took us about 3 to 4hrs, we are not experts and we don't assemble too many things, maybe some one that is used to would do faster but I would say it was not stressful, we stopped when tired and came back. My son LOVED. We can't screw to the wall (landlord does not let us screw anything on the walls) so I would say is not very firm, when my son climbs it balance a lot.. which is a little scary, but I guess that is normal. One hint I used form other reviews is related to the stairs, it really hurt my son's feet so we purchased on the same day spaghetti pool (1 is enough) and we placed on the stairs and done. Worked perfectly,
I like this purchase, my son is delighted and it looks good. It’s also as tall as any loft bed should be IMO, I’m at eye level with him on there and that’s about right. I’m mainly writing to help those buying a mattress to go with this...on the Q&A it says any mattress between 6” and 9” but when I assembled this bed today, there was a prominent sticker saying no more than 7”. Hard to know if they’re being overly cautious but the risk of a kid falling off this thing is not worth it. Luckily stopped my mattress order in time and I chose a 6” replacement but I want to save you the hassle.

If you have an older teen that moves alot, this isn't the best. I can hear every time my son moves in his bed!

Space saver and stylish.
Need two people to assemble. Very sturdy and nice clearance below. We put a reading nook below with an arm chair and ottoman. Great use of space.
