The middle drawers on both sides won’t push all the way in. There is about a 2 inch gap. There are instructions to fix it, but the instructions don’t work.
The only complaint is it’s longer than the twin mattress so there’s a gap. Otherwise it’s a good buy and the trundle slips under easily with a regular size twin mattress. It’s in the guest room and I can put the beds together to form a king size if I need to. I’d Reccommend this for kids/teens rooms. You can put throw pillows on it to look like a chaise and have it in an office or den.
The package arrived in 4 separate boxes in excellent condition, thanks for an efficient delivery service. The bed was very easy to assemble and have clear instruction in each box. It only took me a little over an hour to assemble. Trundle bed pulls out seamlessly and really sturdy. This is for my 14 year old son, and if a friend of his want to sleep over or some other guest. Ikea full size mattress fits perfectly on top. I placed the trundle bed to slide out on the left, but it can go either side whichever you prefer. My son loves his new bed, so I am very pleased with this product 100%.
The positives:
This is solid wood (rubberwood, which comes from latex trees which have reached the end of their productive lives). The wood has a wonderful sheen, I was very impressed with the finish. It looks much more expensive than the cost would indicate.
Assembly is reasonably straightforward. It took me about 2 hours by myself to assemble the bed and trundle.
Extra parts were provided and a whole bunch of allen wrenches.
Value for cost is excellent, pleasantly surprised to find all wood, no particle board and everything fit together smoothly.
The negatives:
When it arrived an entire box was missing. I called and the missing parts were sent, it took another week or so. The woman at Cymax was helpful and did communicate with me about what was going on. However, if I had not realized that there were supposed to be four boxes it would have been much longer until the bed was ready for assembly.
Other info:
You will want a power screwdriver for screwing the slats onto the bed. The rest assembles with an allen wrench (provided).
You need a fairly short mattress (max maybe 7.5 inches) for the trundle, especially if you want to leave bedding on it.
The trundle does not slide all the way under, the “drawer” overlaps the outside of the bed. There are two notches in the top to make it easy to grab to pull out.
Only one end is closed off. The other end is open, so with a trundle, consider your placement in the room. It appears that you can order a headboard separately, but not the short closed one that comes with this. It comes with two sets of legs (tall and short) but with the trundle you need to use the “tall”.
Everything you see is finished. The slats and parts of the trundle are unfinished wood.
The price was high for this item, my problem is that a basic twin mattress didn’t even fit when trying to put the mattress away! That’s very disappointing when spending $200 on this product! There needs to have more space for the actual mattress! Don’t buy unless you have a thin mattress.
The product is very well made.
Note to future customers:
..You'll need to drill out holes 28 holes on the platform bed's rails to screw the slat kit into.
..There are two sets of legs. Use the tall legs is you're using the trundle. Short legs if not. You can't get the trundle under with short legs. This is
not well described. A 9.5 inch mattress will just make under the bed. We purchased an 8" and that works fine.
..There are no handles on the front side of trundle, so we added two on. How ever there are two grooved grab areas that are impossible to grab
when trundle is tucked under platform bed.
The product was easy to assemble but some parts weren’t correctly measured. Parts were bigger than others and when assembling the support the holes weren’t correctly drilled. I had to drill with the bit impeded to make the hole bigger.
The room is small so it is perfect size, having the white panel on the trundle bed makes it look neat. It's well made, sturdy, went together easily. With a 7.5 good mattress the mattress cover (which is thick), sheets and blanket fit well.

Pull out bed issue
The pull out bed keeps sliding even when the wheels are locked, tho the normal bed is fine
