    Messed up parts

Its fine. Nice easy to put together but one of the top side gards does not have the holes to screw it it on witch is a safety hard.

    Looks like a cool bed

Buy it again. This looks like a really cool bed, but mine arrived in a severely damaged box that was then left out in a heavy rain. So we were unable to use it.

Easy to assemble, but wish it was more stable

Coming from a family that is not very coordinated with tools and putting things together, this was surprisingly easy to assemble. The instructions were very clear and helpful. i think it took a total of 2 hours from beginning to end. The bunk bed frees up a lot of valuable floor space (just so my daughter can put more clothes on the floor). Cons: the box came all banged up and i wasnt sure if i was going to have all the pieces. luckily I did. Parts came bent so it was a little harder to assemble than it should have been. The instructions say not to tighten anything until told to do so, but then it say to tighten. Once assembled, the stairs are just metal beams, a little hard on the feet. But the worst thing is the stability. My daughter is not very big, think under 10 on weight charts. When she is climbing up or down or just moving, the entire frame creaks and sways. Now, i dont think it will come apart, but amount of movement is ridiculous.

    Very heavy but well made.

Thanks. This Maxwell Metal Twin Loft Bed/Desk combo is a great concept. I like the conservation of space that this provides with the bed being on top and having the desk below. There a few things to keep in mind with this product though. First off, It is big and very heavy. You will not be able to even carry the package without at least two people. Now thats not a bad thing as you want a heavy/duty frame if you are going to have a child sleeping that high up. The downside is that you need to assemble this bed and it is a big project. Perhaps other people have a little more skill than myself but the weight is what makes this difficult to assemble. The material seems to be well made though. The metal provides a strong frame so I actually feel good about that. I just dont want to envision even having to try to move this thing again. The bed part to me works well for kids into their early teens. I suppose you could use it even for adults but it would be a little cramped given it is only a twin bed. The desk aspect I think would be better with a little larger desk. Outside of that I really love this concept. Especially if you have a house with smaller square footage. This is a great two in one product. The finish on the metal is great. I love the gray steel tone. It seems to be durable once assembled correctly, correctly being the keyword here. You really need to follow the instructions step by step. The instructions are good for the most part. I would be cautious with making sure you keep track of every part as things like extra screws are not really provided. If you are not familiar with assembling furniture than I would suggest getting some help. No matter what as mentioned before you will need at least one other person to help just for the weight and bulkiness of the product. The price point is fair in my eyes. This is a large piece of furniture that should last a long time given its all metal. As I mentioned earlier this is really a product for conserving square footage and for that purpose its a good choice.

    Good bed

Ladder hurts the kids feet to climb up and down. But overall it works.

    Squeeky

Ok ok This bed squeeks terribly with every motion, no matter how tight the bolts.

    full/twin bunk

Bless your hearts. it was easy to put together should work well for the kids I have a 6 and 8/year/old. once everything is in place it does seem to sway a bit not sure if my kids will care or not. I wish you could decide where to place the ladder. I got this in gray and it looks really nice

    Could be better

Cheeky. I wish that I had bought a wooden bed. The locking system for the bars and the ladder could use some improvements. I can hear the child on the upper bunk when he moves around.
