Ordered this for my son and am very pleased. Directions were very clear to put together and the frame is sturdy. It does have some slight wobble when he climbs on it, but nothing major. The rungs on the ladder have zero padding and do hurt my sons feet when hes climbing to bed. We put some some sticky pads on them and it does help. I would recommend!
Sturdy, great for the price we ordered this for our granddaughter who is 4, she loves it..It really has a nice open space below where the desk is. Easy, easy to assemble..great for the price
The bed is beautiful. It does move a little but is very sturdy. My granddaughters, ages 8 12 love it! They decorated it with rope light and it looks amazing. Building the bed is definitely a two-person job. It is not difficult to build. Instructions are easy to follow. However, wish you could warned us not to tighten the screws completely until both sides are assembled. Unfortunately, we did and had to undo the work to allow wiggle room to fit the opposing side then retighten all afterwards. It would be be helpful to know this in advance. Wish you would include two allen wrenches as both persons could be tightening screws at the same time and thus substantially expedite the building process. I would highly recommend this product.
Buy it! What are you waiting for? Ordered this bed for my teen granddaughter and she is loving it. She says it feels sturdy and loves the desk underneath the loft bed. Opens up her bedroom for dance exercises.
Amazing product and worth the price Beautiful jungle gum for my teenagers. Installed over another twin bunk bed with computer desk underneath. Its fun for the kids. Now they have more floor space.
Assembly tedious (slats...uugh) but not difficult. Best value for the price! This is a LARGE bed! I am 411 and barely have to crouch underneath; another bed could even be placed underneath. My son loves this bed.
Sturdy and comfortable, definitely adequate support. More comfortable than my expensive bed frame I gave up for this so the kids could have more room to play in our tiny farmhouse. I sleep better in this bed due to the support.
I am 5 tall and I built this by myself. Took 2 hours, and a little bit of problem-solving. But it can be done, so long as you are able-bodied. The worst part of putting it together was the snaps at the end. Hurt my thumbs and many didnt go in for me. I ended up having to ask for help from someone with larger and stronger hands. He even had to leave 2 of the snaps out, because he couldnt push them in. Another thing to think about when assembling is how to get the mattress on. Being my size, I could not do it myself. I did leave off a side rail so that would not be an obstacle. I had to ask a tall friend to put it on. I tried everything I could think of to do it myself, but I just couldnt.
Im about 110 lbs. The bed is very wobbly. It was frightening the first few times, then I got used to it. The bed is sturdy and is certainly not going anywhere. There is also an option to anchor it to the wall if youre worried.
There is no opening at the top of the ladder, so you will have to climb over the rail. That took me a lot of getting used to, having to swing my leg and twist to get in and out of bed.
The ladder rungs do hurt, but that is also something I go used to. I saw a suggestion on here to use pool noodles. I dont think that is a good idea. The rungs are cylindrical metal. If you put a pool noodle on there, it will spin, and you risk injury. I also would recommend not wearing socks on the ladder rungs, since they are smooth and cylindrical. There are tapes that are rubbery that would be much more beneficial if the rungs are that much of a bother. Im sure a hardware store would have something helpful.
With my height, it takes me a few minutes to change the fitted sheet. I imagine if I were taller and had longer arms, it would go quicker, but it still would not be an easy process.
