I bought it for my 4 year old boy. It does not take up too much space. It was not too hard to build. I like it so far. I enjoy building things. If you dont like to build it might be hard. The open frame helps the room look more spacious. I did a 10 inch memory foam on the top and a 6 inch on the bottom bed. You can use a thicker or thinner mattress on the top. The bottom bed needs a 6 inch or less. The 6 inch with a fitted sheet fits perfectly. I also put a pool noodle behind the bottom bed because it might hit the wall and damaged it when you roll it in. The bed comes with two wood pieces the prevent the bed from rolling and hitting the wall but because I did a 6 inch mattress it did work for me. Overall I am very happy with the bed. If you are debating with what bed to get I highly recommend this one. I didnt need the extra bed but figured its not a bad idea to buy. I figured when my son gets older and has friends over it will be used.
Love the design its a lot bigger than I thought but I love it anyways. My son will be able to have this bed for a long time. I did not anticipate needing to buy separate mattress idk why I thought it came together. Still great but a little pricier then a regular bed but worth it

My daughter loves it. Only thing we wish was more durable would be the 1x1s. Wish the were a little thicker to hold the bed better with extra weight on the bed. I like sitting on the bed reading to my daughter. Otherwise, its perfect.

Nothing concerning and Im sure my daughter doesnt care. I did not have the issue with odor that some people reported. If youre on the fence get off, buy this bed.
We transitioned our daughter from her crib to this big girl bed so it holds a special place in our hearts! She feels safe and secure in it (and I love how low it sits to the ground in case she ever does fall out!) She loves grabbing her books from the end and reading when she wakes up! Perfect bed all around!

Okay...not going to lie....assembly was a beast so make sure you have a beer in hand while assembling. Lots of bolts and lots of pieces...they are labeled and directions are not that bad. Just be patient and dont force the bolts...also add some wood glue to all of the wood dowels they give you to strengthen the bed. Very solid and great for the money.
Absolutely love the midnight grey color. Looks great in my sons room and he thinks its the coolest bed. We transitioned him from his crib to this bed and he didnt even blink an eye. He actually gets excited for nap time and bedtime now.
