This blue low-loft bed is exactly what I hoped it would be. Sturdy, easier to assemble than I expected, and just the right height. My 8 year old son is happy with it.
This did take my husband and I to put it together- this is not a bed you can assemble alone safely. But it was pretty simple to follow the picture instructions and took us a couple of hours. It did have a smell but it was just the pine slats, so I wasn't too concerned about it. We let it air out a few days before assembling it in our son's room. No odor remains anymore.
There is plenty of room under the bed to lounge, read, or play. I can sit up underneath the bed without bumping my head (I am 5'1) so I feel confident this bed will be fine for my son for several years before he outgrows it. With the mattress on the bed, the rails only come up about 6 inches higher than the mattress. At first, we were not sure that was enough, but he has been fine. It seems very sturdy and secure. We have had this bed for a few months now and have been completely happy with it. Great price, great bed.
We opened the 3 heavy boxes and took inventory of all the parts; everything was there with a few extras just in case. We took our time to study the diagram and put it together. Wish the instructions were more detailed but my husband had a lot of patience and got it together in a few hours with a bag of cheetos!
We have a 650 sq ft. space and needed bunk beds for 2 adults. The 3 extra drawers under the stairway are spacious and glide open well. Steps are sturdy and hold 185 lb. adult easily. Well designed, modern look. Fits 9 high twin mattresses. Overall height is perfect for our low ceilings. We made it look modern, spacious and cozy. Doesn't look like a child's bunk bed when we put our linens and pillows on it... and it's fun to sleep in!
The bed is about same quality as an ikea bed. Many of the bolts are loose from my child moving on the bed, climbing the stairs etc. We are having to tighten them often with a Hex Key / Allen wrench.
I could not have made a better decision purchasing this product instead of the cheaper bunk bed sets that I looked at, its beautiful wood and very sturdy which is exactly what I was looking for, the description given for this product is spot on. Don't even waste your time getting the other sets because they are cheaper, spending the extra money for this set is very worth it, if you don't have all of the money upfront does offer a payment plan. As far as assembly I can't really comment on it because I paid to assemble it for me but it was 2 guys and it took them between 1.5 to 2 hours.
It wasn't terrible. We got it together (just my daughter and I) with minimal tears and curse words. ;) It took us the weekend and my daughter is thrilled with her new room. It's very sturdy, came in 6 boxes and arrived 3 days after ordering.
I didnt like that it was hard and took about 9 hours to put together but extremely sturdy and beautiful. Love the extra storage. My twins love their new bunk beds.
Very happy with this purchase we looked at a similar item on Pottery Barn for $2,600 and am soooo glad we found this bunk bed instead!!
Bed arrived promptly in six boxes and in good shape. Assembly was pretty simple and directions easy to follow. I do recommend paying close attention to the specific parts in the diagrams. All the pre-drilled holes and dowels fit perfectly and were well-aligned. This took about six hours to assemble over three evenings, so don't be in a rush.
The bed itself is very sturdy and made of all solid wood. The painted finish was smooth and without defects.
For mattresses we ordered an 8 memory foam twin and full by Simmons from Costco--by far the best price on these mattresses when on sale. For the trundle we ordered Classic Brands Cool Gel Memory Foam 6 Mattress from . Very happy with every mattress ordered. They fit this bed perfectly.
We would buy this bed again. Very happy and our expectations were exceeded.

A complete bang for your buck and a must buy

Beautiful but be prepared to put in some work for assembly
