I bought this for one reason only... I needed a place that a large person like myself could sit on in the bathroom while my son takes a bath. Odd reason, I know, but at the time of this review Im almost 50 years old, over 6 ft tall and well over 300lbs and (surprise, surprise) I have back issues. And yes...I did say Im almost 50 and have a son thats still of bath taking age. What can I say, I was late bloomer....and those parts still work.
I was skeptical about the 650lb rating of this flimsy looking stool but d*mn....its strong. My butt was the last thing many lawn chairs have seen before heading to the recycling center, but this holds up extremely well. Its surprisingly comfortable too -- if it had a back to lean on Id be in heaven, but even without one its great.
Either way its a serious improvement from sitting on the toilet which is actually not close enough to the tub to interact. Army green doesnt really go with the beach bathroom motif but I cant ding it a star when Im not using it for its intended location!
The rubber feet do a great job of not scraping up our textured floor tile and the outdoor design means no worries about having to sit it in the splash zone. It folds up and leans unassumingly against the wall.
Ill probably buy a second one for camping too since it has a nice small footprint and stores small enough that we could keep it in the tent. Again...tall, fat, old guy....Ive killed my fair share of air mattresses as well.
Go buy it.
Im not pushing the 600 lb. weight limit on this, but Ive had guys close to 400 lbs. sit on it with no problem. It is decently comfortable and very well-made. Its light weight. You can bring it places with you easily. I will likely buy another.
This does not support anywhere near 300 pounds. I weight 224 and the legs bent at the pivot the very first time I sat on it. I felt it sag and I hadnt even put all of my weight down. Sending it back.
I bought this to use in a greenhouse. It’s small, collapses, strong and washable. Though I’ve had it a short time, I’ve used it in a number of ways. Great, versatile, inexpensive stool.
I have severe knee and feet problems which limits my ability to walk very far and stand very long. With the aid of this stool, I have watered my garden all summer, played mini golf 5 times, traveled out of state several times and use it all over my house while cleaning/organizing. This stool is my companion now. And thankfully, i bought the 2 pack.
